When did he last kick a ball in anger?

Besides, it doesn't matter who we sign or indeed which players Coyle picks. Our problems are much more deeply rooted than that. Our coaches need to earn their fucking wages and make us be able to defend as a TEAM... something we've not been able to do for a long, long time.

Id fuckin have him in our team! He'll end up at brighton or leeds

Perma-crock.

No thanks

He could bench warm with the others

Fraizer Campbell available on loan as well, definitely worth a punt IMO.

But like said above, we need the coaches to start earning their money most importantly.

We'd have 2 more points if Sordell was a natural goalscorer and had taken the chance at 2-1 against Forest. That's not bad coaching. His game plan produced the chances but the strikers didn't do the job.

Was one if those a header? If so, It is bad coaching if they only play 5 aside and keep the ball on the deck

If they spend their time playing table tennis its no wonder he put it over the net.

its twice you've posted this nonsense

as somebody who saw anelka miss an empty net at liverpool, i'll call you for bullshit

i also put it to you that a team scoring 2 goals should be winning 9 times out of ten

unfortunately, that one out of ten will be us whilst coyles goons can't sort the defence

its like the fcuking okey cokey, is our selection policy for centre back

Coyle is a Bruce Rioch type rather than a Sam Allardyce though.I read on another forum Rioch was a genius and the 4-3 win against Forest in the 2nd Division was given as an example.Rioch and Coyle were similar managers but expectations were lower under Rioch and he had better finishers.Rioch's team that won the play offs were also poor away from home.It was either 4 or 5 wins out of 23 because like Coyle's team now they were set up too attack minded.Allardyce has spoiled us, he was a once in a lifetime great. This team should equal Rioch's mid table finish in his first 2nd Division season and if it's entertaining like Rioch's team was for the most part then we should be content.

What is a natural goalscorer? Someone who's never missed a chance? Ever? Bollocks.

That might be your expectation but Gartside has said we need to be promoted, if we do end up mid table Coyle if he's still here will be seeking new employment.

It is a fact that both Rioch and Allardyce failed to get us promoted in their first season in the 2nd Division. It isn't that easy.In terms of finances i was under the impression we get the same amount of TV cash now for 3 years like we did the last time we were relegated and when we were promoted in the 3rd season.

We do get the same tv cash as when we were relegated.

However next season the tv money goes biblical and we'd be left way behind financially.

IIRC the team that finishes bottom next season will get more tv cash than the winners will get this season.

If it's so important to be in the EPL for the club it makes you wonder why Cahill was sold in January when we were in a relegation battle and knew our best two midfield players were out for the season

Wasnt it you who claimed no one knows much about the championship?

Do you know anything about it?

How dare you compare Coyle with Rioch. How very dare you.

(I'm guessing/hoping you're on a wind-up here?)

i think he means neither has kept a clean sheet for 18 months

thats where the similarity ends

When we sold Cahill we had no idea of the size of the tv cash as the deal was still out to tender.

we did

its been known for quite a few years now.

maybe not the exact figure but it was certainly known to be in the stupid numbers

council employee implying tender process is confidential

oooo

Coyle at Burnley was similar to Rioch at Bolton

Smallish club into the Premier League via the play offs with a few impressive giant killing acts along the way

What is different at Bolton now is unrealistic expectation. We aren't a wealthy club with big spending power like Newcastle or West Ham had in the Championship but the same people who weren't slating Rioch when we lost 3-0 at Charlton or at home to Bristol City demand Coyle's sacking.
