Mr Spearing should drop anchor,fill the midfield cavity and ensure no Gap for Watford to drive through. He should station himself centrally,and starve the opposition of service,and fuel our relentless attacking surges.

We're hoping the real Slim Shady/mark davies will please stand up and also hope and pray that Marvin Sordell will be very buzzy against his former family and show why he left their nest.

Sorry Owen but it's just not working, time we parted company.

First half scored two could have made more from other situations and pretty much controlled the game. 2nd half they had a lot of pressure for the first 15 -20 mins but their goal was a fluke. Coyle brings Pratley on and we switched to 4-5-1 and managed to get hold of the ball again and should have scored a couple, notably Kevin Davies header and M Davies weak pass inside. We did get a bit ragged but dealt with the stuff they threw at us. They didn't have any other chances from what I can think of. job done three points and onto the next game, or are people just pissed off because we didnt beat them by 4 or 5. There was some booing at the final whistle. Unbelievable.

We had to clear at least 2 Watford efforts off the line, and they hit the bar before half-time; so they came much closer than you imply.

 

But we scraped the win, so now we can see if that improves confidence for the next games.

It's a shame you don't appreciate criticism of the Wanders performances after the last 18 months of struggle. Still each to his own. Hope you enjoy the Dad's Army - I wasn't even aware it was on.

still massive problems with midfield-andrews looks not up to it,pratley not up to it,davies only up to it going forward

no wonder spearing was going mad 2/3 minutes before they scored

also mears needs to improve quickly

3 points is 3 points, but far from convincing. So far this season its obvious the gulf in finishing compared to the Prem. The first decent side, with a good striker are going to seriously punish us on our performances so far this year.

 

Good first half performance against a poor Watford side that will struggle this year IMO

Eagles, Petrov and Lee potentially. Granted our other centre mids would struggle to get there in the first place.
