Yes, he was the greatest. Not pretty football, but he brought in individuals who could still give the entertainment factor, I'd love to go back to when we won 5 in a row over christmas, challenging for Champions League and seen him given money for the January Transfer window, we have fell from then, his exit wasn't good, but the good outways the bad by an absolute massive margin.

that being that even when the bloke is asked a straight question and he gives a straight answer it queues a torrent of abuse at him about why he`s a cunt and why he should never step through the doors of the club ever again. he just answered a question with a very interesting answer.

I was as pissed off as you were, but the fact remains we had no money to spend.

If we carried on our August-end of December form and if Sam felt like the club matched his ambitions, then maybe we might have got Champions League, a tad unrealistic, but we were winning games and in the placement.

 

Sam would have loved the money Megson used to bid for Veloso and Emana.

if we are fifth and looking to catch say......united,chelsea,arsenal and liverpool with spurs in 6th, how much do you think we would have had to spend to catch the other 4 ?
