Really not sure what he offered us. Not quick, not a particularly good passer and not a ball winner.

He's the 'Wandererers Ways Darling' don't you know.

But you are right, he is bobbins.

Can't believe so many folk think he was our best player last year, there's a common theme with his clubs....

they end up in a relegation struggle.

I don't think he will even improve Ipswich.

Spot on

We stopped missing NRC ever since Spearing arrived, who can do everything NRC could but is also much better with his distribution. Him and Holden will be frightening in the division if we can get the latter fit.

Spearing also comes with the extra bonus of not believing his is the second coming!

So he wasn't our best player last season?

Who was then?

I know its like a tallest dwarf competition but I thought he was head and shoulders above the others

NRC was clearly unloved by many but there's no point trying to rewrite history

i think its clear nrc divided opinion

which is some achievement in a season when everybody else was shite

Petrov for me. Thought he did his job week in week out and really upped the ante in the final third of the season. As much as I don't rate coker he was certainly up there as he always worked hard. I think as previous posts have stated it wasn't difficult to be up there last season.

NRC was by far our best player last season and ran his bollox off. The only thing that soured it for me was his exit from the club shortly after the final game of the season.

I've no issue with him whatsoever. The club allowed him to have an 'escape' clause in his contract. He excercised that clause.

There's little doubt things haven't worked out for him as he'd hoped they would, but I wish him no ill-feelings. He worked his bollocks off for us whilst he was here, he didn't act the cunt or threaten to go on strike or bad mouth us in any way. I can't see why so many people have such an issue with him.

Besides, we've got Spearing in now who, IMO, is every bit as good anyway.

Live and let live and all that.

10/10 for effort

0/10 for attainment

he couldn`t pass for toffee, his tackling wasn`t the best, he isn`t very fast and doesn`t even particularly have good stamina.

as stated previously, stats don`t lie, he`s achieved fuck all to date. we`v had worse but we`ve had far better.

i`m in the don`t rate him at all bracket. lets see if Ipswich rocket up the table now he`s arrived. I`m thinking they won`t and he`ll be on his way by the end of January

He's on a 3m deal with Ipswich - he'll be back in the transfer window. I thought he did well for us.

A mate of mine is an Ipwich fan (sadly not a season ticket holder) - he reckons that NRC is only around £10K per week on this temporary contract. - if true, it'll be some come down from what he was on last season.

I do wish we had managed to keep him though

NRC couldn't pass as he'd usually run past our forward players. To say he had no stamina when he'd when run past them on the way back too puts Derek Smalls into the Premier League of WW plantpots.

beat me to it carlos.

Definition of talking bollocks.

Did NRC need stamina considering he should be of been sat infront of the back four tidying things up?

Or was it just too tempting to see petrov and eagles having all the fun and decide to run up and down trying to get involved.

Is that wind up as well?

Fucking hell, it's getting more like Bents' Garden Centre on here every day.

Can't move for fucking plantpots everywhere.

I thought his passing was average at best and I'm not having its because he was too tired from doing everyone else's work.

If he was a good passer of the ball then he'd be pretty much the complete defensive central midfielder ... rather than someone who's never played for a 'top' club.

He was still comfortably our best player last season though.

Bill and Ben wouldnt get in here, its that chocca.

Is that wind up as well?

I thought it was a valid point.

Stamina would be the least of my worries for someone chosen to be the defensive midfielder. Especially as he's playing along side 3 'box to box' players. (Use that term loosely with our wingers).

Probably explains why we shipped aload goals if NRC deemed it his job to run around chasing everyone around.

And explains how the moment he left, we ceased shipping goals even against much lesser teams.

Oh wait...

I think NRC was/is better than Keith Andrews and I am pretty sure he wanted to come back to Bolton when Zat was hinting at his return.

Proud to be a plant pot where Reo Coker is concerned

No bugger will convince me he was anything other than bobbins and the lack of clubs beating a path to his door tends to support that view.

Good player no ill feeling at least he didn't wait till the new season to leave and mess up our plans.. spearing so far looks better.. win win for everyone...

If he's bobbins, what does that make Pratley?
