October 18, 201213 yr Interview with bbc manchester, reading between the lines, he is after the gig full time. Fair play to him,
October 18, 201213 yr you never know, he could turn out to be a world beater. always struck me as a pretty decent geezer, doesn`t dress stuff up. its been said before but i remember allardyce getting a very luke warm reception on his first game maybe jimmy pipp is the man
October 18, 201213 yr Seems to be doing the right stuff already, would love to see it work out. Just hope he gets the results
October 18, 201213 yr If one of OGS's big selling point is winning the league with manyoo reserves, didn't Jiminho do the same with our ressies? JSL
October 18, 201213 yr I'd certainly prefer to see him get a bit of a run rather than see Mccuntface or Sourness appointed.
October 18, 201213 yr Like One or Two others have mentioned already, the longer this drags on- the more keen I am on keeping the tempory trio on for alonger period, None of the suggested appointments fill me with any confidence. COYWM

COYWM i've seen that phrase used to beat gartside up its usually followed by 'i don't want any of the names mentioned' so, do we just appoint any old fcuker to stop it 'dragging on' or do we say, 'shut the fcuk up and wait while we get the right fella' i'd go for the latter
October 18, 201213 yr I'm warming to the idea of seeing Jimmy does for us, sure its a tough few games coming up but all games I consider winnable with a bit of organisation. The noises coming out of the club seem to be positive, 3 points on saturday will do nicely for a start

I still live in hope of it being a name not mentioned.
October 18, 201213 yr Highest qualified coach / manager the club has ever had is JP More qualified than Little Sammy? P.S. Just to be pedantic, do they have qualification in managing? P.P.S. I'm not dogging down James, I'm just not sure about your facts. Edited October 18, 201213 yr by no balls
October 18, 201213 yr Jimmy don't be a hero. Don't don't dont!! Edited October 18, 201213 yr by Underpants

Yes PS - by manager was referring to more qualified than our previous managers as well as coaches PPS - couldn't care less
October 18, 201213 yr Yes PS - by manager was referring to more qualified than our previous managers as well as coaches PPS - couldn't care less PPPS. Enough to reply though sweetcheeks.
October 19, 201213 yr I like Phillips but we need a manager with experience at this level, I have no problem with Phillips as assistant manager, but I really hope 2-3 good results which could be put down to a bounce effect does not see fans and more importantly Gartside feel he's worth the risk.
October 19, 201213 yr I don't know why, but I always assume JP to be a bit of a Stuart Pearce-a-like managerwise.
October 19, 201213 yr I don't know why, but I always assume JP to be a bit of a Stuart Pearce-a-like managerwise. The Reserve team that won their League about 4 years ago was very well coached and motivated by Jimmy. He may not be a big shouter, but soft he isn't. And he does measure his words carefully which makes a pleasant change from motormouth Coyle.
October 19, 201213 yr Aye that mogrel irish/yorkshireman Thanks for clearing that up. I had actually worked it out, I just wondered how or why anyone would change Carthy to Cuntface.
