Chelsea haven't had that many, if any, failures as managers - Abramovich is just impatient

unless you expect them to win everything, like Abramovich does

Iirc scolari wasn't a big hit. But my point being that experience doesn't always guarantee success across the board. So we shouldn't write him off and give him the backing coyle got.

Not the polyester black ones, please God no.

Aye with snail trails and everything, it's going to take a massive art attack effort to pull it off but I am upto the task. I might even let people pass it along like they do with those massive flags.

No licking it though.

With some of the country's happiest most positive fans :D

Its what happens when you get older, you would not know being a springish chicken, while I'm just an old turkey.

this tickled me

palace fan comparing our squad to theirs

http://www.cpfc.org/forums/showthread.php?t=236963

although I would expect the average palace fan to know nowt about our squad as much as I'd expect us to know nowt about theirs, a couple of things that i found funny:

Spearing, Jay Midfielder Owen Garvan, Spearing for me is awful so Owen wins - see what we're up against?

Holden, Stuart Midfielder Jon Williams - no contest really, Willaims by far - aye, alreet

Lee, Chung-Yong Midfielder Yannick Bolasie, has impressed me since he joined, Lee apparently struggles with the tempo so Yannick for me.

but the best - of all the quality in our squad, all their players are better than ours, except......

Pratley, Darren Midfielder Stuart O'Keefe, given the experience Pratley egdes this.

On this day in 2007 we appointed Megson as manager.

Coincidence or a a sign from the dark side?

It's a worrying sign that time does seem to fly exponentially faster as you get older...Five f*cking years, where's that gone then?

Love him to do well for obvious reasons, but you can guarantee if he does and a bigger club (or one offering bigger wages) comes knocking, this last week has shown us that he'll drop us like a hot spud.

Hopefully he'll be dropping us when we're back in the Prem, with the new deal cash in our pockets.

If all we've got to worry about is him being successful and subsequently being poached, then I'll take that all day long.

Is that their version of dids??

Liking the quote directly underneath by the greatly name 'GreatGonzo'....

'I hope you have good protective case for those red and blue specs'

They arent all divs on there, but fuck me it just shows how bias folk can be....

Scolari wasn't exactly a raging success.

I agree about experience not guaranteeing anything (and why I wasn't that arsed about McCarthy et al), but Scolari was sacked in Feb of his 1st season, when they were in 4th - hardly a failure, more to the point, hardly given a chance

You could have said that about coyle too. Thats football.

Note for Mr Freedman to save you some time.

Bogdan is a liability

Ream dives in, whether it's in the box or not

Pratley and Andrews are two cheeks of the same arse. Not good enough for their role at your new club

Mavies needs loving to get his confidence up

SKD great in his day and much loved but it's his last season. Use as an impact sub with 20 min to go.

Ngog is rubbish

We need a small quick goal scorer

Other than that all's well. Welcome our club

On a good day.

OK have it your way:

Congratulations Dougie, you've taken over a winning team that needs nothing doing with it, ins or outs.

We have hardly concede any goals, particularly away from home.

In fact, can you play ping pong, cause there nowt else for you to do

Better?

Respect to gartside for making this appointment, could have gone down the safe route of hiring mccarthy, but stuck to his guns and beliefs. its a huge gamble and an expensive one but he obviously thinks coyle was'nt far away from gettng it right, good luck dougie, hope it works out.
