I arrived at Kings Cross and discovered I'd left my lap top on the train (East Midland) I legged it back to the platform only to discover the said train was on its way back up north. I told a girl in East Midland Train kit what had happened; she promptly phoned her boyfriend, who so happened the guard on the train! Laptop was located under my seat, it was dispatched onto a south bound train at Loughborough and back in my possession a couple of hours later. East Midland Train kit girl even gave me text updates of the progress while I was in a pub.
