Do any of you remember a lad of Indian descent who used to run with the Wanderers lads in the mid 1970's,initials MF ?

M still lives and works in Bolton, and very well known indeed, but stopped going to the match esp after a certain incident and being best friends with the accused

He's given me a whole stack of pictures and original newspaper cuttings from those days,i may upload some but some might not be in the best taste, and out of respect for others

one pic which may be ok to look at is available on Blackpool's Muckers site, section 'Darker Stories'....on that thread, scroll down to the end and there's a couple of acceptable pics from Bloomfield Road,1974

we did pal. we met IIRC in Ramsbottom in the Stubbins pub and made our way in cars and taxis. they knew we were coming and kept out of sight. pretty sure we made it to the turnstiles at their end but the police stopped us getting in.

how many teams have tried to get in our end ?

Burnley - no

blackpool - no

wigan - no

preston - no

the list is endless yet they all claim to have done us bigtime and turn us over regularly.

Not once with even numbers or slightly in their favour have any team from Lancashire turned over the Wanderers. We have always been in their end in the 70's,80's and even 90's on some occasions. They daren't venture into ours

Oldham went in the Burnden Paddock in the mid eighties and took every fucker by suprise, a night match and everybody was still in the pubs.

Blackburn away, on our return to the prem,95/96 season(shearer got a hat-trick i think )

I'd gone up to Ewood via a contact a few weeks before the game and purchased 52 tickets for their end.

We went up early on the train with huge numbers of Whites, trouble for some reason seemed to follow us all day long.

Once inside Ewood,we were adjacent to the away end,(i think we had half the upper and lower stands),they were giving it the usual ''oh wanky wanky''.......then when it quietened down, once of our group rose from his seat and started the old classic.........................''Bolton boys we are here,,,,whooahh,Bolton boys we are here whooahh''

The 50 of us were straight on our feet, half admittedly expecting a major backlash, but t our amazement and pleasant amusement the majority of their end rose to their feet and joined in the chant. Bolton were all over their end. I WAS AS PROUD AS FUCK TO BE A BOLTON FAN IN THEIR END THAT DAY. The clowns singing ''oh wanky wanky'' soon disappeared

we stayed in Blackburn all night, until we were herded onto the last train home.

I can honestly say, hand on heart, that no team has ever taken such liberties in Bolton,EVER

love that. Fooking jackburn wankers.

Remember Port Vale storming down Manny Road at 3pm thinking nobody was about :shiftyninja:

Edited by C86

I remember my mates dad driving us to Blackburn early to mid 70's, all the advertising hoardings on the gable ends of houses had slogans spray painted on them, "turn back Bolton" "last chance Bolton" "Bolton die at BRFC"

how we laughed at the thick cnuts

Oldham went in the Burnden Paddock in the mid eighties and took every fucker by suprise, a night match and everybody was still in the pubs.

They stood by the fencing next to a copper and when they let themselves been known got slapped off 16/17 yo's. Rememeber like it was yesterday, fuck knows what happend last week though.

i'd been to manchester that day and was en route to burnden on the train and they were on board. they had one big surprise when we spilled out the rose hill. that was actually the catalyst for ''their ambush'' at their place in '87

Another blunder by them on the scale of Anzio :innocent:

I remember one game in the 80s a cup game against arsenal at ours

A few if them came in the burnden paddock

And lasted a few seconds one lad hit one with a milk crate

After the game they came running down side if of the lever end and it kicked of big time on the grass banking

And it carried on all the way back to the train station

Spurs tried it the same season and got legged across the

Motorway at the back of the paddock

I remembet a black lad side of the lever end

Geting a good kicking and running for his life minus his black leather jacket

The black lad I remember he was a big lad and comically got ran by a 5foot 5 Bolton skin head who I am sure was a Walkden lad can't remember the lads name but it will come back to me.

I'll never forget the 6th December 1975, we went to Stamford Bridge, our coach was late arriving [conveniently announced over the tannoy] as we were queueing to get in the Chelsea thugs were coming out to meet us, I got the hiding of my life, basically got thorougfhly battered as I waited in the queue, NOT ONE BOLTON FAN HELPED ME, our coaches were parked on Caledonia road, I didn't have a clue and got another crack for asking where the coaches were, as we got on the coach Chelseas fans also got on hitting everybody they could, I was on the back seat and was struggling to hold the emergency doors shut as they were trying to get in through them, it was a fucking nightmare

BTW we won 1-0

Following my last post about Chelsea away 6/12/75, the return game at Burnden around March/April was when I got bloody revenge, we went to get in the Lever End round the back next to the Burnden Terrace, there was a cockernee shouting his mouth off, " Chelsea's took this end mate, listen, Chelsea, Chelsea" the unfortunate fucker had 4 earrings in his ear, I grabbed them as I punched him and ripped them out, as he went down loads of lads piled into him, I went into the ground with my hand and jeans pocket covered in blood with 4 earrings and part of his ear lobe in my pocket, justice was done

Only revenge i saw to come to fruition was the second leg of the league cup v Everton, a lot of lads took some cracks that night off the scouse cunts round Walton in the first match. Never seen so many lads hanging about the town centre and waying in anybody who had colours or a scouse accent in the afternoon before that night match. I know it was just tit for tat. Must have thought Bolton was a soft touch when they walked in town off the train.

I remember the crate. In those days kids took them to stand on.

About that time a few teams got dispatched from the Terrace and then would been walked back alongside the pitch and got loads of ale chucked at them as they went back.

There were a few scousers went throug Athy that night, a car load of 'em in the Kings Head, they got leathered and the car lights all got put in

I was at that game mate and we were already in the ground when i heard about what had happened outside. Went on the coach fro the Painters Arms got there about 12ish nd all was ok till we got in the ground. As i went in the ground coppers took me steel toe cap boots of me and i was stood on the terraces in me socks. All of a sudden chelsea run into us and we were scattered everywhere one lad was trying to climb over the fence around the pitch and when i looked round one cokney get had ran of with me boots. I turned round to me mate AH from horwich and said look Andy someones knicked me boots, without thinking he ran straight throught the crowd grabbed hold of the lad took the boots of him and brought them back to me. Going back to the coaches and the journey across london is another frightening story.

today's Bolton News, the looking back section has reports of us in Blackburn in the 97/98 season, saying we were a disgrace and stayed in Blackburn until midnight causing trouble. personally,i thought the 95/96 season was a whole lot worse, but 97/98 was still a tasty affair

the return match on easter monday 88 - they'd been spouting in the lancashire telegraph that they were coming to bolton 400/500 handed. yet only 40 turned and hid in the Bradford Arms until we sussed them and wrecked the place. according to a couple of burnley mates, they saw our mob of hundreds charging down lower bridgeman st and piled back inside, barricading the place and asking the landlord to ring the police. even more bizarrely,in another book,it may be football hooligans part 11,they say they stood their ground and held back all 400 of us. Aye,whatever, you stupid inbred pricks.

they even say after the match they ran us everywhere...........i know they had a small mob of 40 or so on their toes, but when the main mob of Bolton emerged they soon scarpered back to their coaches and white stone houses worth thirty bob.

Was that the game where Andy May scored ?

I was at that game with me Dad and Sister. I was 14 and me sister was 9 and they wouldnt let us go in the same turnstiles for the Burnden stand . So we went in seperately which meant me and me sister were sat next to the fencing near to the Burnley lot and me dad had to sit about 60 yards away until half time when he had found 3 empty seats together. i spent the entire half watching anything that could be thrown , launched to and fro across the terracing. me sister thought it was hilarious where I was nearly paralyzed with the fear of a fist-sized chunk of terracing hitting me square in the face.

Ive still got the Roadrunner video from that day but it doesnt show too much other than the coins being thrown (dont know how people could have afforded to do that )

excellent entertainment underneath the paddock at half time when some real old heads from Daubhill tried smashing the barrier down separating the fans. Everybody joined in,it was absolute chaos. The Daubhill old heads hadn't been since the late 70's,but came out of retirement for that one

the first game Scott Green scored ? I only really remember the games by who scored what etc...

I was in the Darwen end quite low down , and i remember a group of what seemed like about 80 lads heading over to the away end.

My first thought was that they were pretty brave as there were about 4000 in our section, I was more than a little impressed when they turned out to be Bolton fans geeing US up and generally taking the piss.

With me mates being Rovers fans they confirmed that there was lots of Bolton in the Home end and apart from a few minor handbags , nothing much was really done to oust them !

For the 2 later games I was in the Blackburn end with a free ticket both occasions. I dont remember any trouble in or around the ground but that night was a bit different.

Blackburn used to be a top place for a weekend night out and it was nearly always rammed. We were in town that night doing our usual bar crawl when as it turned out a large mob of Bolton seemed to be tracking us on the same crawl, causing major disturbances in the pubs but just about 45 minutes behind us, so tho we never really saw anything it was the talk of the town for weeks.

The Brewers on the boulevard took the brunt of it along with Toffs in the precinct near the old ground level entrance to the Cav (Or peppermint Place as it was then) Bolton had chased everyone out of there and were holed up sinking a few ,when a panda car came screaming across the precinct straight to Toffs where it was promptley jumped on . The roof lights were ripped off and smashed through the windscreen and the coppers chased off, only for the Bolton fans to casually walk off to the next pub to repeat the process.

The night of the other match, it wasnt as quiet as that.

I was at that game mate and we were already in the ground when i heard about what had happened outside. I knew AH very well in them days, we went to plymouth on Lawrence Catteralls midnight coach from the Wheatsheaf, we had running battles at 10 o'clock in the morning on Plymouth bus station

I knew AH very well in them days, we went to plymouth on Lawrence Catteralls midnight coach from the Wheatsheaf, we had running battles at 10 o'clock in the morning on Plymouth bus station

Was it not earlier than that - seem to remember getting to plymouth at about 8 in the morning, and ambushing a milk float for an early morning drink

That Plymouth away game was mental at 8am, and your right it was kicking off around the bus station, if I remember rightly weren't we below them and they were chucking at us from above ?......we got out of there and went on a little boat trip around the harbour, looked down at the seat and it had "BWFC MATT" carved in it....that boy got everywhere !!.......remember after the game the coaches getting a police escort and even with that some fooookers dropped a bed frame on us from a bridge....and we lost the game

i was in the darwen end (blackburn section) and got karate kicked in the head when shearer scored there second i wasnt best pleased as i wasnt expecting it.....the cowardly fucker and his friends soon toddled off when they realised they was surrounded by pockets of bolton everywhere!

we also had lots in the upstairs section too!

best bolton mob ive seen tho was after the 2-2 draw away at burnley(93/94ish) and 2 train loads got off at accy then blackburn and proper took the piss.....AMAZING SCENES!!!

my locals landlady used to have the jubilee in blackburn and says bolton are by far the toughest mob that they have ever had the misfortune of dealing with in the 90s :D

Just had a flashback to that Plymouth game, it wasn't only bricks they were chucking at us, one fooooker was picking us off with an air rifle....ah that's why I made a hasty retreat........

Cannot remember what year but it was in the 90s we were in Blackburn town centre early doors with no trouble, then about 1 pm about 150 of us were walking across the town centre when a mob of equal size appeared in the distance we thought thats a tasty mob for Blackburn we bounced towards them and they bounced towards us as we both got closer it became apparent that the lad at the front of the other mob was no other than our 2 match left back from LH we all burst out laughing could not believe that we had 300 lads in 2 seperate mobs and none of us could locate a Blackburn mob.
