December 17, 201213 yr Could be cut down to just 5 points after the weekend with a lot of the teams above us playing each other, 5 games time we will be there abouts in the playoffs
December 17, 201213 yr Pretty irrelevant what the gap is. Will prob need 73/74 points to get in which means getting 44 points or so from our remaning games (tough ask). Concentrate on trying to average 2 points a game from now til April and see where we are at.
December 17, 201213 yr Someone has clearly hacked into anewman's account. Did you notice another clean sheet for Jussi yesterday?
December 17, 201213 yr 84 could win the league this year imo I don't know what will win it, but I think it certainly be a lower amount than usual and probably a lot tighter with 4 or 5 teams still in the hunt with a couple of weeks to go
December 17, 201213 yr Pretty irrelevant what the gap is. How so? If you close the gap and catch them up, it's irrelevant how many points they've got.
December 17, 201213 yr What i mean is theres no point looking at the gap, concentrate on trying to get to 70 odd points first and foremost. I think we'll finish on high 60s anyway
December 17, 201213 yr we threw 3 points away at home to ipswich and i thought we were very unlucky not to win at huddersfield after going 2-1 up. Those 5 points would now have us a fleas pubic hair off a play off spot, as the season goes on the strength in depth we should have in the squad, wheater coming back holden coming back should see us close in. strange given how bad the season has seemed but we are nt out of it
December 17, 201213 yr Surely we'll be playing Palace in the play off final, that's just how football works!

December 17, 201213 yr you surprise me, traf can't believe you're still expecting the #englandhater to make any sense
December 17, 201213 yr Its going to take 70 odd i'll worry about the gap in March April time if we still have a chance, no point getting knickers in a twist about play offs if we dont win 10 games out of the 16
December 17, 201213 yr you surprise me, traf can't believe you're still expecting the #englandhater to make any sense I've a piece of work to complete this afternoon, but I'm awaiting a document via email before i can crack on with it!
December 17, 201213 yr strange given how bad the season has seemed but we are nt out of it I think that says a lot about the quality of the other teasm in the division
December 17, 201213 yr Surely we'll be playing Palace in the play off final, that's just how football works! Yeah and I can hear the bastards now - singing Dougie Dougie whats the score Thats how football works
December 17, 201213 yr Yeah and I can hear the bastards now - singing Dougie Dougie whats the score Thats how football works Or alternatively... "you Judas this, you Judas that. We are better off without you"... Then 20,000 Whites singing "Dougie Dougie whats the score"
December 17, 201213 yr Yeah and I can hear the bastards now - singing Dougie Dougie whats the score Thats how football works Or as Ngog bags his sixth and and seventh goal of the season, the Bolton fans sign 'That why he came to us' The Palace fans reply with 'You could nt sell your tickets.'

In 8 of those seasons at least 73 points have been needed, and in the other 2 70 points scraped in and 69 missed out. 74 points has proved enough for 4 teams but insufficient on 2 other occasions. 6th place has only been decided on goal difference once in the last 10 seasons. This was Preston over Cardiff in 08-09 on 74 points. Since then Cardiff have always reached the play-offs, whereas Preston have since been relegated.

So you reckon we will piss it with 68 points I think we need 74 points
