December 27, 201213 yr its a poor team playing without confidence i'll be on my own, but i don't think we're missing much a beast of a centre back and a similar midfielder would bring a massive change what's more, i've every confidence freedman knows what needs doing and just as much confidence he'll do it ps one upside, andrews was captain yesterday, not knight - i'm taking that crumb of comfort I agree.Get Wheater and Holden back to full fitness and this side will start to look a lot better.
December 27, 201213 yr I agree.Get Wheater and Holden back to full fitness and this side will start to look a lot better. And if it doesn't what is plan b?
December 27, 201213 yr Three feckin Managers in the last 3 month,s have,nt been able to get this lazy shower of shite to play at their so called potential,it is the players who need the reality check, and not the Manager.Yes He,s rotated the squad, but He did tell us that he was going to give everybody the opportunity to show what they are capable of,and now that they have He,s probably thinking(why the feck)did I come here,it could be Careeer Suicide.Because he now knows what a bunch of overpaid, bone idle/spineless tossers he has to work with..I think he,s gonna have to get rid of a good few next month and then be very careful about who he does sign..God Help Him and PLEASE can we have 3 points on Saturday...
December 27, 201213 yr It's all Coyle's apathy fault, no emotion or motivation. Get shut of the handbag players for blood sweat and tear players any day of the week for this kid.
December 27, 201213 yr They could afford to take that big lad at left back off with 20 mins left yesterday cos by then he'd frightened both of our wingers off the pitch, absolutely pathetic the pair of 'em. Oh and the bad thing about having Andrews as captain instead of Knight, DF evidently thinks he's a rock-solid selection every week.
December 27, 201213 yr And if it doesn't what is plan b? Clear some handbags out then try and pick up some decent players in the Jan window, i s'pose.
December 27, 201213 yr Fuck me the team 26 years ago must of been really shit. If my arithmetic's right, 25 years ago was when we squeezed out of the 4th division (as was) on the last afternoon of the season. But we did win 4-0 at Peterborough, completing the double.
December 27, 201213 yr One result I noticed yesterday was Sockport 0 Hyde 2. Our team that lost 4-3 to them wasn't so fucking great.
December 27, 201213 yr I maintain the fact the team maybe shite but we have has much worse players. Much worse.
December 27, 201213 yr worst since i started going in 1994, no danger We've not had that many dark days since the mid 90s though.
December 27, 201213 yr Look on the bright side......there will be a proper left back on Saturday........Paul Robinson of Birmingham....ffs Mike Whitlow he ain't but he's still better than stunt driver Alonso.
December 28, 201213 yr I maintain the fact the team maybe shite but we have has much worse players. Much worse. Very true, Homer. But we knew they were sh*te players and they were cheap. This lot are stealing a living.
December 28, 201213 yr Yup. As good as the team that won the first division championship was, that era would have been half the side without the likes of Gerry Taggart and Jamie Pollock. We had a spine in the team who could put their weight about and let the likes of Scott Sellars do their thing. This current shower are spineless cowards. That's why we should have brought Faye back he would have done the dirty stuff in midfield allowing Mark Davies the freedom to hurt teams with his quality. I hear Dunne is out if the team at villa not seen him play for a while but maybe he could do a job for us this season and organise the defence? Upfront I would try to get Morison in from Norwich.
December 28, 201213 yr Author I hoped Jay Spearing would have done a similar role to Patterson and he's been about 'ok', nowt more. Certainly not protecting the midfield and defence as we need. Maybe that's not his thing. If its not then he's no fucking use to us because we've got enough girly handbag players in the midfield already. Scott Sellars couldn't tackle for shit but with Tomo/Pollock etc he didn't have to. Knight couldn't tackle a good dinner and runs like he wears his boots on the wrong feet, and for a central defender Ream is one big soft twat. SKD will put his stuff about but he must look down the field and think 'what a shower of spineless soppy arsed tarts we've got here'.
December 28, 201213 yr We've not had that many dark days since the mid 90s though. See this is one of the problems. If you ask when the last season (and I'm not trying to jinx this one just yet !) that could not tick at least one of the following boxes: (i) Played in the top flight. (2) Got promoted from whatever division we were in or (3) Had a day out at Wembley. The answer is you've got to go back to 1991-2. And even then we have the memories of Soton in the cup. Beyond that 89-90 fits the bill, though even then we had the playoffs. Beyond that you've got to go back to the really dark days of 86-87, Aldershot and all that. So someone who has been going for a quarter of a century will have witnessed vitually no seasons that lacked summat memorable.

So someone who has been going for a quarter of a century will have witnessed vitually no seasons that lacked summat memorable. Spot on Satan. I'm 28...my first season ticket was the 92/93 season aged 9! My very earliest memories are Bury in the Semi Final of the play-offs,Tranmere in the final and the Soton cup games.. Been a mental 20 years to say the least...spoiled rotten in honesty. 2 league cup finals, one semi. 2 Fa cup semi finals,a couple of qauters. 2 giant killing cup runs 4 promotions 4 play-off finals 1 lost play-off semi 2 season in Europe 4 relegations Crazy when you think what we have been through for the past 20 years really.
December 28, 201213 yr Crazy when you think what we have been through for the past 20 years really. Exactly! Plus thinking about it we can't have picked up many new fans in the period from say 82 until we started to rise back from the old 4th (after all, I think it was 5 years on the trot with average crowds of <5k), so you're going back 30 years to find people who started going only to find us shit - or maybe more to the point, find us doing nowt. That's the key point...this team is miles better, in reality, than many of the ones we put out in that time. But if we stagnate and do nowt memorable for a few seasons then I do wonder what'll happen to attendances...however unrealistic it might be, a vast % of our fan base (well into their 40s) know nothing other than progress/success/Wembleys etc.
December 28, 201213 yr 25 years to get to where we were and about 18 months to fuck it up. Put that on a bed sheet for tomorrow, mate.
December 28, 201213 yr Put that on a bed sheet for tomorrow, mate. He'll have to bleep out the fuck so as not to offend the nice folk though.
December 28, 201213 yr Personally I'd throw the odd cunt, twat and bloody in too because I'm childish like that
