jules_darby
Last season Vaz Te scored 22 goals, 20 in the League we're in. This season he is holding down a regular place in a Premiership team. So it looks like he has won that argument in spades, professor. So we should keep all of our players that can't make the first team in case the odd one comes good a few years later? Aye alreet; fantastic business sense "Professor"
Guest Blixa
Someone put me out of my misery - what was the name of the young Italian we sneaked into the country some years back, said to be the next big thing?

Moderators Carlos Posted January 8, 2013 Moderators Share Posted January 8, 2013 To be fair, Walters, Morini, Scott Taylor et al never looked like making it. Vaz Te looked like he could go all the way.

jayjayoghani
I think it was more to having the correct operation. There's a decent interview with him knocking round. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2013/jan/04/ricardo-vaz-te-west-ham
Members DazBob
http://www.guardian....vaz-te-west-ham An interesting read. He really did look like he could be the 'real deal' that season he broke through for us towards the end. We still stuck by him for a long time though but there comes a time when you have to cut your losses. He's come back from the abyss though and I'm happy for him. It also sounds like he's got Keith Hill a lot to thank for. I'm curious though, we used to have a really good record with players coming back from serious knee problems. Was Vaz Te just unfortunate that we switched from Steadman to this mon around the time of his? Edited January 8, 2013 by DazBobParr
Moderators Casino Posted January 8, 2013 Moderators Share Posted January 8, 2013 injury wise, it got a lot better when allardyce fcuked off the local bloke who did weekly hernia ops on elliot i'll not name him cos he's abit touchy about it all and he can probably buy and sell me in between rounds of golf
