maaarsh Posted August 31, 2016 Posted August 31, 2016 Konta in a right state Symptoms all seem to be hyperventilation and panic attack, not very pleasant Quote
MalcolmW Posted August 31, 2016 Posted August 31, 2016 I was thinking collapsed lung, but don't think she could have come back to win, even playing at half pace. Quote
Casino Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 Edmund is doing a bit of a job on Mr One Dimensional Hope he can keep it going Quote
Exiled Girl Posted September 3, 2016 Posted September 3, 2016 All going well for an all British men's final still... Going to be torn tonight though when Evans plays Stan. Evans still in the doubles, playing with Kyrgios. Quote
Casino Posted September 3, 2016 Posted September 3, 2016 Really don't get what you see in the arrogant Czech/Swiss Come on Quote
Exiled Girl Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 (edited) That backhand tbh. And Evans should have won it too. Hope his foot recovers quickly. Edited September 4, 2016 by Exiled Girl Quote

Exiled Girl Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 He was 333 a year ago, been injured so dropped right down. Something that has caused him to get his head down & graft instead of hitting the nightclubs (as well as growing up a bit) has been the time that Andy Murray has given to him, and other British players. Exiled Girl Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 I've been watching Evans a lot on Livestream this year, his confidence is way up and he doesn't let a dropped serve, or set, bother him - he just gets on with it. Quote
Exiled Girl Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 if only murray smiled at folk in lifts and had a sense of humour, eh? And didn't hate the English... Quote

jturner Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 Does 8 Majors Ivan have higher expectations than our Andy?"After match point Lendl stormed out of the stadium and that tells its own story" Jeff Tarango"If someone had offered me the summer that I have had before Wimbledon, I probably would have signed for that," said Murray. Smiley Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 Beat by a Jap last night. Makes him Scottish again! Quote
MalcolmW Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 Beat by a Jap last night. Makes him Scottish again! His brother is in the Doubles semi, though. Quote
Farrelli Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 Overall a very good season by Murray. The only consolation in his defeat to Nishikori is that Djokovic is nailed on for this after only completing about six sets to get to the semis. Quote
Exiled Girl Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 Does 8 Majors Ivan have higher expectations than our Andy? "After match point Lendl stormed out of the stadium and that tells its own story" Jeff Tarango He stormed out after Murray won Wimbledon too. Not his best match ever & not his best on-court behaviour either. This Monfils semi has just started to get interesting. Giving Djokovic a 2 set start isn't usually a good plan. Quote

jayjayoghani Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 Their head to head is still 19-5 in Djokovic's favour but Wawrinka does have some notable wins over him at slams. Quote
Traf Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 I watched wheelchair tennis at the Paralympics last night. Unbelievable stuff. Quote
jturner Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 I see Stan Wawrinka has joined Andy Murray on 3 Grand Slam wins, although Murray has lost 8 Grand Slam finals compared to Wawrinka's 0. Quote
Farrelli Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 And your point is? Murray has reached eight more finals and is higher ranked. There is no disgrace in losing to Federer or Djokovic in slam finals, two of the all time greats. Dan Evans had a match point to take Wawrinka out in round 4....small margins in sport. Quote
