I try to hate the bloke but I can't bring myself to do so... I understand the cynicism but whatever the motives some kids may get half a chance in life, and I don't give a shit where they're from that

  • Still he avoids the assumption that he's a millionaire footballer who only cares about the money which is a brush people are always quick to look to tar with   I imagine there's a lot of rich folk o

Wanderers Ways doesn't have a shop or merchandise range but this should get Happy thinking. :D

He is a cunt

Now, now, I thought we'd established he was a national treasure.

I do believe someone suggested it years ago.

Wacky T-shirts with slogans like "I'm with Cuntshoveller" or "Show us your Clackervalve"?

He is a cunt

Why is he though? Please give me your reasoning on this? As I said in my first post on this thread I want to hate him, but I can't bring myself to. And don't demean yourself by saying he's a DMB

Simple fact of the matter is that he (or maybe more accurately "Team Beckham" ) have been tipped the wink by the high level chums he made during the Olympic/WC bids that the one remaining box to tick before his high profile retirement is a grand charidee bid. Now that's sorted, it's "arise Sir David" in the next New Years Honours list. Maybe he can pull off the same trick twice and wear that medal on the wrong side again next time he attends a high profile wedding that he knows he will be filmed from the right walking in to.

won't the release of "50 shades of Whit" the movie put the country back on course (piss stained though it is)

There is that, of course.

But I quite admired him then as a player.

I hate all this fawning over him and he wants to milk it forever.

I truly despise this playing for free. Cynical media whore.

I can't believe that newspapers, Sky et al have nothing better to report on. I've ignored this thread and that's me finished.

We used to have flag and look what that did for us

The Beckham brand didn't even need this PR

Not in the slightest

But

Maybe the charity he's doing it for does; many will do more for the charity to bask in the reflected glow of being associated with a "Beckham" associated charity

So this "if he wanted to truly be altruistic he'd not announce it" is bollocks, as that would be worse for the charity

Well done David, top man

Well summed up Jules it isn't like this is his final throw of the dice in the celebrity stakes is it. A charidee is a couple mill better off and for what its worth I think he's moved there solely for footy reasons as I'm sure better deals were on offer elsewhere. Good luck to him.
