Guest Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 Yes we do, and we go public about it because it makes us look good and feel good. Which is fine. Why Beckham is a self serving cunt and we are selfless philanthropists I don't quite get. He is a cunt Quote
no balls Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 Wanderers Ways doesn't have a shop or merchandise range but this should get Happy thinking. Quote
Traf Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 He is a cunt Now, now, I thought we'd established he was a national treasure. Quote

chief wiggum Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 He is a cunt Why is he though? Please give me your reasoning on this? As I said in my first post on this thread I want to hate him, but I can't bring myself to. And don't demean yourself by saying he's a DMB Quote
SatanGreavsie Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 Simple fact of the matter is that he (or maybe more accurately "Team Beckham" ) have been tipped the wink by the high level chums he made during the Olympic/WC bids that the one remaining box to tick before his high profile retirement is a grand charidee bid. Now that's sorted, it's "arise Sir David" in the next New Years Honours list. Maybe he can pull off the same trick twice and wear that medal on the wrong side again next time he attends a high profile wedding that he knows he will be filmed from the right walking in to. Quote
pato Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 won't the release of "50 shades of Whit" the movie put the country back on course (piss stained though it is) Quote

But I quite admired him then as a player. I hate all this fawning over him and he wants to milk it forever. I truly despise this playing for free. Cynical media whore. I can't believe that newspapers, Sky et al have nothing better to report on. I've ignored this thread and that's me finished. Quote

jules_darby Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 Those saying this is PR for Beckham underestimate his brand The Beckham brand didn't even need this PR Not in the slightest But Maybe the charity he's doing it for does; many will do more for the charity to bask in the reflected glow of being associated with a "Beckham" associated charity So this "if he wanted to truly be altruistic he'd not announce it" is bollocks, as that would be worse for the charity Well done David, top man Quote

A charidee is a couple mill better off and for what its worth I think he's moved there solely for footy reasons as I'm sure better deals were on offer elsewhere. Good luck to him. Quote
