I was just opening the match thread to post if anyone thought he was at fault for the goal - potential or not he cost us a fair few as first choice

He didn't have a great game distribution wise but watch that corner again. Really well worked set piece, high dropping corner panicked the whole defence.

Agreed, what was Spearing doing in the challenge when he headed it in? Basics - he knows he won't win the header so time to give the oppo a nudge to make his header difficult. He just turned his back. Boggers was just trying to make himself big like that Schmeichel bloke used to do.

Pre Freedman, gartside and OC thought losing jussi and al habsi was the best thing to do. But to replace them with that clown is stunning. Bogsan is weak in every department for me.

anewman is resident goalie coach - was he not caught ball watching the high looping ball and was to far over to his far post then left floundering when it went across goal?

And yet I thought he was one of our best players last season. He'll be right. He's young for a goalkeeper. Looking a bit jaded, perhaps a rest would do him good. Can't help when you've got a sizable minority of supporters claiming that you're a 'clown' after a few bad games.

Come now. As we are all well aware, if you want to see an instant improvement in form, the only sensible way is to hurl incessant abuse from the stands. Weren't Jussi and Al Habsi moved on for financial reasons?

Jussi on a big wage and wouldn't accept a lower contract and Whelan came waving his cheque book about for Al Habsi.

i believe they were moved on for that reason. Even so, the people that "know football" saw Bogdan as the appropriate best alternative. Can't blame Bogdan, he doing his best. BUT

Here's the goal, DP21 is outjumped. There is no real danger but Bogdan is in the right place to stop any header.

 

I've drawn where the ball goes, at what point should be claim it? When it's 15ft in the air?

 

Spearing on the post doesn't make any sense as he's a stump.

 

Bogdan jumps with his arms up, they should have been outwards maybe.
