I think its time I purchased property, but I don't feel settled in England especially Bolton, would it be better to buy an apartmment in Spain or a terrace house in Hailliwell?

Personally, I think there's a fair gamble in buying in either right now as they look like they are at the bottom of the market.

 

In about 7 years time, you may reap the benefit. Then again, I could be wrong.

 

With relatives over there (Andaluz), I am aware of a beautiful 2 bed, 2 bath apartment which will sell to the first offer of 98,000 euros. Balcony views of the Med, great location (especially if you're into golf) and loads of other features. Only been lived in for one year since new at which time the price was more than double.

 

No, it isn't mine or any of my relatives; only been made aware of it through family down there. Certainly food for thought.

Try buying out of town in the shires, the nearest you will get to gated communities. Decent people unreliant on useless labour councils and paki free.

I came within a whisker of buying a two bedroom appartment in Benalmadena for €169000 six years ago., The same property lies empty and has been for sale since at €60000, no one wants to buy in spain especially an area where most Brits are queueing to come back to the UK.

When I was looking it was hard enough getting an appointment on the day I wanted never mind an exact half hour slot.

I'd say you've done well there but I bet you can't remember which room belongs to which house after so many!
