March 21, 201313 yr Thwaites' put their prices up 7p a pint about 6 month ago. Cricket Club will have stood this increase for 9 month when prices go up on the 1st June. Previously agreed at 2011 agm. They also give us 7 grand each year for us to use them. New operations manager wants to pull this deal. We will be finding another brewery soon I would think.

March 21, 201313 yr On the pension thread: I've just started ours as they opted everyone in at 2%. Decided to put in 8% and the company put in 16%. Not bad. March 21, 201313 yr Had to bin off the it systems change when the bank is trying to triple in size therefore writing off 700m as they have to adopt the lloyds systems. Need to raise capital as they increase in size Need to increase ppi provision. All bad news for the gi business which is second string to the bank.

March 21, 201313 yr Panic measures 5% deposit scheme. Problem is, lenders are still being very strict with it (and rightly so). People with bad debt cant just rustle up 5k and get an £100k appartment at Buckshaw Village no questions asked. Problem is, a lot of folk have bad debt these days so im guessing the uptake isnt as great as expected or the banks arent lending as much as the government wanted.
