Wanderers 2 Blackpool 2

Blackpool fan in peace. We have been given an allocation of just 2,305 for our last fixture of the season.

http://www.blackpoolfc.co.uk/news/article/ticket-news-bolton-wanderers-765947.aspx

Considering we took 4,000 to Blackburn, we would expect around 4,500 to travel to Bolton. I know our away stand is small so perhaps you are returning the favour, but is there any reason why the allocation is so small compared to the Premier League game?

Thanks in advance.

No, we're not a particularly big club when compared to many. But when compared to Blackpool, yes, we are. If we finish 8th this season, our current position, that'll be our worst league placing since

aye, they were soon out of there, pretty sure it was their main pub as well, utter shithouses

that mob afterwards was huge, miles bigger than the one v burnley at the bradford arms

Not surprised on the size, almost everyone went the same way towards Blackpool...some angry young men in there from what I remember....funnily enough bumped into some of them at Rotherham the following match (which again was interesting), and got my own "escort" to the pub...some top lads there during the 1980's

also a lot of old heads there. i knew loads who hadn't been since the 70's but made the effort for that one......i remember the poxy token effort by 30 of them walking round the side of the pitch and ''trying'' to get in our end......everyone in our end thought they were Bolton hence the reason none of us scaled the fences and piled into them, like when we invaded the pitch in '89. Where were the famous Muckers then ? Their despised rivals ''taking liberties'' on their hallowed turf

Forgot that, everyone thought they were Bolton being turfed out of the home end, from my recollection (and at 42 I realise the memory aint what it was), don't remember anything to suggest they were Blackpool...it that had been our lot out that day, they'd have been climbing over that wall and steaming into them

they just walked casually over then made a feeble token attempt to get into the kop end. like you say,we had no inclination they were Blackpool. if we had,i reckon a full scale riot would have taken place with our lot taking over the pitch and ground. they were lucky that day

Well, bring on Sunday, they won't turn up on mass, any that do I am sure a heartiest welcome will be given.

we should go to blackpool and wait for them there, only sniff of action with those cowards

hahaha, meet half way would be fairer, somewhere like Preston, would be like Piuccadily when us, the massives and dmbs were there at the same time....now that was a day to remember

They won't even turn up on Saturday.

Good point, had Sunday in my mind for some reason

They won't even turn up on Saturday.

Scarfers, women and kids will be there, if owt happens to them we should hang our heads in shame. If by some miracle their 'boys' turn out they should get what they deserve bearing in mind Blackpool and not us have whipped this fixture up. They can fuck off, my late and still much missed owd mon hated them, reckoned we were robbed in 1953! And if the Nobender is still here, owd mon reckoned that Tom Finney was the best player he ever saw.

I wouldnt get to up set with the blackpool key board warriors , deep down they know we have always took the piss at there place.

I was there in 74 even then we took the piss it was only when the police let us leave the ground in pairs

Did blackpool have ago

At burnden they came in the lever end in 74 and got a good kicking.

I think they smashed the painters arns in the 70s when 50 of them came straight of the train and put the windows through .

They never came in big numbers like we did at theres

Where we took 1000s to there place they only ever brought a few hundred in the 70s at our place.

As for the 80s they brought a few thousand in a night game but they never took it to us i remember one of there lads got slashed on the burnden forecourt after the game.

i met a few blackpool lads in greece a few years ago

And they admited bolton was always rough when we played them

My dad also said that Finney was a much better player than Matthews & that Matthews was a softarse who often went down with mystery injuries just before games against Bolton. He also reckoned that Matthews did sod all in the 53 cup final until we were down to our last very few fit players.

I remember the game in 78 and if Blackpool brought 1000 with them it must have been only just. In 85/86 it was an Easter Monday game. I distinctly remember a large proportion of their support shuffling on to the Embankment a good 15 mins after kick off leaving everyone to draw the conclusion they'd rather walk down Manny Road when Bolton fans were in the ground. They brought a good 2500 with them on a night match in 86/87 but I don't remember any trouble.

Things getting heated on backhenrystreet now.

Those jokers saying they knocked us from pillar to post in Chorley and round the Reebok last time we met.

Silly boys,they haven't got a clue

So, seasider sex pest isn't going to come back on here? Boo.

Same on Avftt mate.

Plonkers.

So is next Saturday like their cup final? Bless.

I'll not be drinking early on & may have a minor in tow so I hope they think on. I'm nastier when I'm sober & protective. :D

I went to a Preston v Blackpool derby in the 80s and there was over 60 arrest .

There hatred they have for each other is immense .

I was quite surprised with the amount of Blackpool lads that they turned out I often wondered why they never had that amount out when they played us , says it all really .

Some folk are getting far too worked up on their board.

Who the fuck is Martin?

The Chorley thing cracks me up.

Its like going to Liverpool away and drinking in Runcorn and thinking your'e ace.

tell you what.

these Blackpool lot are the gamest set of lads i've seen on the net. Pity i've never seen them on my many visits to Jockpool

That Super Tony Ellis post has got my back up. The grammar is shocking!

Who the fuck is Martin?

Lives next door to Alice I think.
