Considering we took 4,000 to Blackburn, we would expect around 4,500 to travel to Bolton. I know our away stand is small so perhaps you are returning the favour, but is there any reason why the allocation is so small compared to the Premier League game?

I went to a Preston v Blackpool derby in the 80s and there was over 60 arrest .

There hatred they have for each other is immense .

I was quite surprised with the amount of Blackpool lads that they turned out I often wondered why they never had that amount out when they played us , says it all really .

 

Blackpool used to have a decent mob in the 80's - They had lads travelling with them from all over the country, who had gone to Blackpool on their weekend piss ups & got pally with the locals. There are a few old threads on AVFTT about 'characters' from other clubs, who used to run with them, back in the day.

 

Throughout the 90's & especially the 00's they've done fuck all. Nothing.

 

They've nothing to offer nowadays, except a couple of older lads, mixed in with clueless gobby shirters & scarfers. The rest are made up of OAP's, day trippers & face painted, wig wearing bellringers.

 

I can't wait until we get our hands on 'em again.

Re PNE, I lived on St George's Road at uni and met a few at England games, Deepdale is a great location as if there's no one else, you can wander into Deepdale where the Asians are always game.

I know, it's a shame & until I worked there I didn't realise. Not a clue why it's like that though as there should be plenty of fashion students about to redress the balance.
