I think we'd be daft to get rid of him now after giving him is Schooling. He's made a few gaffes and hopefully learned from them. Still young for a keeper, but a lot of experience at a decent level for his age. I'd be hanging on to him!

Whatever you and others think of him, he is a regular first choice for a (nowadays) minor European country. His agent, doing his job and looking to earn from a move, may feel that he justifies a place in the top tier in England/Spain/Italy/Germany/France. The danger is that he might become an understudy again, which is not in Bogdan's own interest.

I hope that Bogdan feels it's worth staying to help his club gain promotion (just like Schmeichel did at Leicester) and thereby (probably) get a regular run in the top tier from the age of (almost) 27. But the abuse he gets from some "supporters" cannot help him to want to stay.

If his agent isn't trying to get Bogdan as much money/profile as possible then he isn't doing his job. It's that simple.

To an extent - yes. Every team has 10 outfield players, and a degree of flexibility in how the team is set up.

But every team has just 1 goalkeeper on the field. Sub goalie is almost a specialised position in its own right, and certainly many regular keepers would struggle if they were infrequently used subs.

Can I just get in before anyone else and say:

 

"We should never have sold [good old] Boggers, he was a class act that lad!"

 

and

 

"Boooo! Yer fucking shite, [insert name of replacement 'keeper here]."
