June 1, 201313 yr No for me. But know some people who are fanatical and have travelled round Europe watching him.

June 1, 201313 yr A big fat yes from me,probably the biggest influence in Music for the last 30/40 year I was aright Bowie / Roxy music head back in the day..
June 1, 201313 yr If you're just discovering Bowie and consider yourself a non major music person stick to the greatest hits. There's plenty on there to keep you happy. Bowie has done plenty of stuff and there's some challenging stuff to listen to. Especially low and the synthy stuff. Not stuff to listen to in the car. The thing about Bowie is he had some absolutely amazing support, as in guitarists and alot of his hits are actually first known for the riffs etc, rather than lyrics. He's one of the best for me. Not many can do so many different genres and nail it. Bit like Beatles. Whilst on the drugs he was on.
June 1, 201313 yr Saw him live at Milton Keynes back in 1983, when he was at the height of his powers IMO, but since then to much experimental shit for me. Likes been said listen to the pre 83 greatest hits stuff and disregard the rest.
June 1, 201313 yr I think you had to be there through all his Ch ch ch ch changes. A definite yes from me,
June 1, 201313 yr I worshipped him 72/73, managed to see him three times in that period, just got into other things later on.
June 1, 201313 yr Yes from me Best albums hunky dory and ziggy Listen to em time and time again and always seem fresh
June 2, 201313 yr Never could stand him and never understood the fuss. Singing about Spiders From Mars FFS? Pants for my money.
June 2, 201313 yr Must admit I only know the hits and there's been some belters so its a yes from me. Sound and Vision the pick.
June 2, 201313 yr Saw him open the Hardrock in Stretford just after Hunky Dory came out. Saw him several times after that, until I realised I was one of the only blokes not in make up. Early stuff is brilliant, Hunky Dory, Ziggy Stardust - later stuff not as good - except Heros
