salop wanderer Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 http://www.urbancolours.co.uk/products/botlon-wanderers-fc what do you reckon? BP's in there too but a bit distant for my liking. Quote
jules_darby Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 Neither do owt for me But these things are subjective of course Quote
Sweep Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 It's a poor do that they can't even be arsed to spell "Bolton" correctly Quote
Youri McAnespie Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 (edited) I'm far from an expert with graphics packages, so open to correction, but isn't this form of 'art' as simple as; scanning/adding a pre-existing photograph to a paint package, doing a gaussian blur, tracing in some thicker outlines, then doing a bit of colouring in? i.e. a bit like a digital paint by numbers picture? Or, in other words - shite, and certainly not worth £45. Edited July 24, 2013 by Youri McAnespie Quote
Danny G Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 Get MrWalks to do a full Burnden Park as his next project Quote
salop wanderer Posted July 24, 2013 Author Posted July 24, 2013 Now yer talkin' Danny! FWIW: I think shite on two counts 'n all Quote
Danny G Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 I dont rate them, as Youri :Edit pointed out, i doubt that they have been drawn free hand. It looks to me like the original images have been scanned and then had a pack of Crayola put on them. I am out. Quote
Didledee Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 Easily done, very boring and cheap looking imo. Quote
DazBob Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 Not my cup of tea. The Burnden Park picture still looks like the site of St Peters Way is/was a rubbish tip. Quote
Danny G Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 Easily done, very boring and cheap looking imo. I was going to say, I bet Diddles could do something considerably better and for the cost of a Snickers Bar and a Jubbly Quote
Youri McAnespie Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 (edited) I've just done my own version of The Reebok, a bold experiment in liberation with color (sic)...It's free, as usual, buy me a pint when I'm feted in Paris, New York, Farnworth and Madrid. My family and other animals.JPG shouldn't all your pictures have your trade marked "top hat" somewhere in them in order to show they're authentic? Quote
salop wanderer Posted July 24, 2013 Author Posted July 24, 2013 Youri - I think you have something there - could you have a bash at CWP's avatar please? Thanks in advance. SW Quote

Good thinking, a trope I believe it's called. Youri - I think you have something there - could you have a bash at CWP's avatar please? Thanks in advance. SW I might, it'd have to be a freehand work tho'. Quote
MAXiMUS Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 what path is that to the reebok? A made up one. Quote

Youri McAnespie Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 He sketches them and paints them by hand. Artist and time-traveller - good for him. Quote
COYW Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 Artist and time-traveller - good for him. A bit like that bloke who's been flogging his paintings on here then. Unless he got them to pose for him from beyond the grave. Quote
Youri McAnespie Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 Was I being fatuous? Look, if somebody wants one of his prints to remind themselves of the many walks up the idyllic country lane that winds to the current home of Botlon Wanderers - The Reebok, or want an aide-memoire of their past strolls along the rubbish tip to Burnden, then knock yourselves out... Make sure you click the right drop down link though, or you might get Cardiff or Fleetwood or a vista of Accra, Ghana. Quote
SatanGreavsie Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 (edited) My hand crafted model of the Reebok is a snip at £500 -though lower offers will be considered Edited July 24, 2013 by SatanGreavsie Quote
Youri McAnespie Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 Satan's model with added sound effects for that authentic Reebok feel...(hopefully not - it's just for 'fun')... Quote
Matt Lofthouse Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 Fucking garbage. I prefer Youris effort. Quote
jules_darby Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 My hand crafted model of the Reebok is a snip at £500 -though lower offers will be considered Zico's eldest brother (not Dirty Sanchez) did a really good one like this for him that's up in his flat Quote
