We looked more like a team tonight, Mills & Ream as the CB pairing still haven't conceded a goal, amazing what tackling can do!

Quite strange were throwing defender forward at the end of a game, why not just chuck on another striker and take off a defender ?

Trouble is that other teams will look at this & try to put a fast, tricky fooker up against Mills, & even worse, try to put Ream under physical pressure which he hasn't been able to cope with previously.

Exackerley.  The striker should be looking to pick up the ball, not to ensure he's next to a specific defender.

 

For all our individual defenders' supposed strengths (yes, I'm struggling to think of any too), the pairing of Mills and Ream has cost us only one goal ... and a freak one at that.  They've both got to stay in the side for me.  It's hardly as if we've got anyone else who is more deserving of a start ahead of either of them.

If a team with 4 at the back plays one with 2 strikers, it's often not the 2 centre halves that mark.....more often than not one striker is marked by a full back and one centre half remains free
