McCanns on it.

What are we thinking then ??

Just reading a few things, and Im not one for conspiracies around it, or anything. But I found what Kate wrote in her biography on page 129, very very strange.

As we know, I spend time in Portugal. The policing to me feels like a relic from the days when it was a fascist dictatorship.

I scan read that, he's going on about the Phoenicians and Moors in the Algarve. He sounds more like David Icke than a detective.

I stopped reading at "You know, certain English journalists consider Portugal to be a third world country"

I haven't seen anything that's eluded to this. It is clearly a poor but third world? He sounds like a Scouser, always the victim...

Disagree. Like I say if you read it he makes some valid points.

There's quite a lot of emotive nationalistic irrelevance, what's the Treaty of Lisbon got to do with it? Or the Roman ruins at Vilamoura? Sorry, it's not nationalistic, it's regionalistic. I imagine he's upset that he wasn't allowed to beat a confession out of them.

"Gaivota is the surname of a former Benfica player who was living in Portimão at the time of the investigation. A real companion who shared the good and the bad times with us. I remember his kindness, and the patience with which he showed his support for me.

- If he was still at Benfica, maybe their defence would be up to something."

The bloke is a fucking simpleton.

Discussed in work today and the majority of us said we felt sorry for the kids they still have.

There's something fishy, I just don't know what.

I'll not be watching it, I really think they'll just annoy the hell out of me if I do.

something not right with the McManns but deep down i don't think thet bumped her off.

they'd have to have a lot more time to dispose of her body than the timescale for when they were checking on her.

personally i think she was alive for quite a while afterwards but may have been killed when the media spotlight became too much.

her remains will probably turn up when a housing development is taking place years from now

They are feeling gulity about what happened, we pay the price

this latest investigation has cost you and me £5m

Latest?  How much in total then? Crickey! Shouldn't it be a cold case now?

Not really arsed about anything else other than I really really hope they find out what happened to her.

And whoever is responsible be bought to justice.

If it costs 5 million or 50 million then so be it.

I'd want the same for my little lad.

Course you would

But is it right someone else pays (so much) for it?

What you want and what is practicable/viable are two different things

Course you would

Probably not.

But how can you put a price on the murderer/abductor/god knows what else of a 3 year old girl being caught and bought to justice?

Theres shed loads of reasons our tax payers money is wasted, catching child killers isn't one of them.

Same for me, the more I read, the more it just looks like they know more than they let on.

All the evidence / statements, deleted messages & calls just add more doubt. If it was 'Brittany & Keanu' from Tottenham, these doubts would be the front page, not 'Kate' & Jerry' stories.

I do not like the dismissing of doubt, based on their 'Standing' in society.

Sickness is not biased to wealth or job.

All what I have read, the relationship Jerry has with this other family looks odd. This Dave fella, does not sit right with me at all.

I have slightly changed my opinion since I made the thread. I do think they know more, and by they, I mean Jerry & his mate !!

Spot on pal.

I also never knew there was two other families with them,if they were involved in it how the fuck would they keep it from all of them.

Havent got a clue how they have coped all this time.

How didn't the Portuguese police work out the guy their mate saw wasn't the abductor? Fuck me.

That initial moment she knew she was gone...how the fuck does your brain take a hit like that?

havent seen the show

100% the parents not involved, however, leaving kids that age why you go and eat and drink is fucking disgusting.

I think every parent has "lost" their child for 10 seconds while in a shop and you absolutely panic for what feels a lifetime then you see them hiding in a clothes rail. That feeling is bad enough so how the fuck they are getting through this God only knows.

yeh, had that, also lost my sister in a zoo when she was about 4, i was 10, was a big adventure looking for her at the time , didnt understand why my mum was sat crying talking to the police, she was gone for 2 hours, had managed to walk out of the zoo and some family brought her back. i can only know now hat my mam as going through, she says it was the worst time of her life, and that was "just" a couple of hours or so, God knows what they are going through for years.

Stomach churned all through that 2 things strike me firstly the night before Madeline asked why the parents did not come when the twins were crying and on the day Madeline seemed tired and under the weather both in isolation would guarantee I would not leave a 3 year old kid alone. What was going through the minds of 2 educated people I do not know I think it's inexcusable parenting at the very least and extremely strange and disturbing behaviour at worst.
