Any other fellow Android TV wankers having problems with Sports Devil these days? It's pretty much a waste of time for me now.

Who is your broadband supplier?

If it is Virgin Media, log ito your myvirginmedia, go to my apps and turn off virus safe.

It's a newish feature and turned on by default. It blocks some of the sites

This all sounds top for sport, and I really don't mind the fiddly side of things with updating software etc. However, t'other half likes to just glance at program guides and generally flick through channels. Is this the type of thing easy to do with Android boxes? Or do you really need to know exactly what you're looking for?

This would just be a sport watching device for me, but if she finds it's too much of a fuss to flick through channels I risk being bludgeoned to death with the remote.

She won't like it then, but DannyG has a solution to that.

I think it's safe to say it's not for her then.

Balls to her though, buy it for yourself. It's a one-off purchase for £70 or so. Treat yourself.

The M8's are the best out there, but don't pay that price on that link FFS.

Aye, the software - XBMC and configurations are free. Don't pay for them.

You can run it on an old PC or a £35 Raspberry Pi, an old apple TV etc. It doesn't need to be on a stick, although I can see the benefit of that.

Where is better priced??

Where is better priced??

Try Amazon. That's where I got mine. CWP and Traf too I think. Don't pay more than £80.

Amazon or ebay

I looked into both, but the price difference was negligible, so opted for Amazon purely down to ease of returns/refunds if it went to shit.

They employ all sorts in their warehouses nowadays.

Very, very good.

Glad to see it wasn't totally wasted.

Get a memory stick, get on a site called mobdro save the file on lap top, plug in memory stick and send file to that.

Plug memory stick into android box, download the app onto box and hey presto sky tv
