Bolton Wanderers 1 Ipswich Town 1

Right i'm going for a biased twat of a referee to book all our players, management, fat lads in the mongkick at half time and the bullying stewards.  Sending 3 of ours off and Dougie into Scotts.  6 pens for them and a magnum of champers from their miserale manager

Having said that,a boring 3-3 with Matt Mills,Mick Mills and Mick Mac,Mick Mac,Mick McManus scoring the goals, watched by 15,703

well, seeing as we spent 4 million on the other one, you'd hope he was better, wouldn't you

fcuking coyle thought he was 20 times better

Hoping that he's better isn't what the manager should be doing. He should know by now. If he rates him as highly as he said he did, then he should be capable of getting better performances out of him. If he can't, then he should play the bloke he signed. Assuming he thinks he's good enough to start games.

IF we have given up on this season (apart from not going down) and i don't necessarily think we should have, just yet

we need to get the best deal we can in january for anybody we'll be looking to get shut of

that means playing some of them, doesn't it?

fcuked if i know anymore

See this is where our opinions differ.

I'd much rather have Ngog alongside Beckford than Davies, if we're playing 2 up top. Sure he's having a bad run, but aren't the whole team? When confidence is running high and we win a few games Ngog will start to be a threat again, probably opening the door for Beckford to score goals.

Of course, some people can only see "striker hardly scores" and think they shouldn't be near the team. SKD was a terrible player for us, wasn't he...

Not sure how you can make the analogy between SKD and Ngog.

Ngog is adding nothing to the team, absolutely nothing.

For the record I was a great fan of what SKD brought to the team.

But you carry on with your opinions.

I wouldn't bother searching for any logic. Three of those he signed started and, in some cases, finished on the bench on Saturday. That included Davies. If he isn't fit, he shouldn't be on the bench, so we can only assume that Dougie prefers the 'lazy' N'Gog, to the bloke he signed.

QED.

Got to get rid of N'gog and play Davies and Beckford. I like Beckford and want him to do well. He seems genuinely motivated. The team need to realise though he will never win a header. Davies will though.

Just seen the goals on Sky

In sorry but Lonergan should do better for me. Poor keeping

I thought that at the time and said so, but I've still not seen it.

Anewman reckons Bogdan would have saved it.

He was itching for a clean sheet so we could have the "I told you so".

I did

As per way up this thread

TV confirmed we were right IMO

There is plenty of desire from the BWFC outfield players to defend it actually, contrary to the thought train that they don't give a shit....problem is they panic and ball watch etc rather than picking men

You're assuming that Freedman has some sort of plan. We need to face the facts boys and girls. He's making it up as he goes along.

For me, this says it all

"A time out is what we need. We need to get out on that pitch on the training ground and work out a system that helps us when we go 1-0 up.”

Freedman reverted to a 4-4-2 formation to match Ipswich but does not believe his side’s lack of form is down to tactics.

“I think we have tried just about every player in every position this season,” he reasoned.

Score more than one might be a good idea

panic leads to bad decisions

keep failing to win leads to panic

vicious circle

No shit, Sherlock.

Your incessant tinkering is part of the problem.

Indeed it does

We're in a rotten cycle currently

An ex-pro who goes to the matches keeps telling me we're playing well, and DF is a good manager, and it's just that this is a strong league, and it'll all come right before long.

I'm not an -ex-pro but I go to 2 matches a week and see different levels of football, so I compare those to what the Wanderers do on the pitch. Sounds to me like he's on a different planet, but I'm too polite to say so.

Wouldn't say that it is a strong league, but it is a league where physical strength is much more important than the Premiership. We get out-muscled too often for my liking especially up front.

As regards Freedman's tactics, if you look back at his time with Palace, he had the best part of a season where he was down near the bottom with scabby draws. Play on the break was the name of the game so the opposition play the same game and hey presto, stalemate.Similar to Lennie Lawrence's tactics at Charlton if I remember right. So there should be no surprise that is how we are playing now, especially for the people who appointed him.

Anyway, I doubt if he will be sacked as long as we stay above the bottom three. Unfortunately this is a must do season as the parachute payments start running out and we will be on a level playing field with the rest. All this long term stuff is well and good, but as Keynes said " In the long term we are all dead". Just hope that a few youngsters come through before then (like Zaha did at Palace)because that is the best hope.

it was Coyle-esque

all a bit depressing

Don't worry, he'll be calling Lonergan a "Shit Cunt" soon enough

Captain Angry in the NSL waited a whole 6 minutes 35 seconds before calling Lonergan a useless cunt.

“It might now be a case of how we hold on to what we have got, rather than going on to try and score two or three, which is what I think the fans deserve,” admitted Freedman in the light of another frustrating result and another lost lead on Saturday.
