November 14, 201312 yr Author Dead right Carlos. Sold out every week, can't get tickets. Ever. Bloke wearing a red rag in the pub told me on Super Sunday.
November 14, 201312 yr Different groups of mugs every game, annual game, lucky to get tickets in the draw, ready to unload their wallet at the megastore.
November 14, 201312 yr I would give my right arm for them to win nothing for 10 years and not qualify for Europe as that would seriously devalue the brand and fuck there cash stream at the moment they are a massive cash printing machine.
November 14, 201312 yr I would give my right arm for them to win nothing for 10 years and not qualify for Europe Sadly, I don't see that ever happening. Everything is now set up to ensure the "big" clubs qualify for Europe most seasons - I'm not sure that even a 10 year barren spell would overly affect them that much, look at Liverpool, they've been shit for yonks and they're still one of the best "supported" clubs in the world The best that we can hope for in reality is that the major European clubs finally decide to fuck off their domestic leagues and join in some European/Global Super League - we can then ignore them and get on with our own business
November 14, 201312 yr I don't honestly think that's a million miles off CWP. Ask Abrhamovic or the Glaziers who they would prefer to be playing every week? PSG and Dortmund or Palace and West Brom?
November 14, 201312 yr Some blokes know was in the pub Sunday, not seen him for years knew he was a DMB though so says. 'Cant get a ticket?'. He says,'I'm not giving those cunts any of my money' Eh? He meant the Glazers. Turns out they're just in it for the money. Oh right, so before then it was a nice family run club with little thought about franchising? Fuck off you fickle cunt

Utd have a lot more glory hunters to satisfy. It'll only take a couple of trophy-less seasons for their gates to start dropping. There were thousands of empty seats at their League Cup tie against Norwich.

I'm not talking about people who actually attend the games, you go over to Asia and Liverpool are absolutely massive there still, it's like they win the League every year still, even though they haven't been close to doing so for 20 years. I would imagine the money generated from matchday income is far less than they attract from non matchday sales, advertising and marketing revenues from their global fan base. I reckon Man Utd could comfortably go 10 years without winning a trophy and still have millions of "fans" all over the world purely because they have always been marketed properly (or certainly in the last 25~30 years)

Ask Abrhamovic or the Glaziers who they would prefer to be playing every week? PSG and Dortmund or Palace and West Brom? The 2022 W"orld Cup could be the thing that finally floats the G14+ clubs into a separate league. Hopefully all their players will be barred from international football, and referees will face a choice between G14+ and FIFA appointments. Most players would follow the big money. For officials the money will not be so big, and the decision less obvious. And then they'll really find what second rate officials can do!
November 14, 201312 yr I read somewhere that it has something to do with the colour red, hence the changing of the Cardiff strip. This doesn't explain Real Madrid selling quite well though.

Trouble is the big clubs would insist on the right to play their Reserve teams in the Premiership AND atomatically qualify for the last 8 of the FA Cup and League Cup every season. And the pussies who run the FA, Football League and the remaining clubs would fall over themselves to agree. The money, y'know.
November 14, 201312 yr I found their troubles earlier this season highly amusing, their recent recovery less so. I will despise the twats as long as I breathe and have my patter for making their bandwagon jumping filth "support" look silly down to a tee. That's the way Bolton fans of my generation generally are.

November 14, 201312 yr Can we delete this thread . I don't come expect to come on here and even see that american franchise being discussed ,let alone have to see it every time I look down the list of topics,. Ya awwwwwwrrrrriiiiggghhht with that.

November 14, 201312 yr I used to be really against breakaway leagues, now I couldn't give a shit if the 'big clubs' go. A European league would be expensive and very boring after a while for their fans. I wouldn't miss them.
