Absolutely convinced

I've explained why a million times

not even in doubt

2-0 up at home to a poor Hull team with about twenty minutes to go.

He brings off an attacker to 'protect the lead'.

We draw 2-2.

Plenty of doubt.

i know you hate facts but it was 2-1 and we were coming under pressure

maybe that was the time to put a winger on for his comeback game?

Exactly. Both were shit looking back.

Fuck all to do with Megson the result that night.

Fuck all to do with Megson the result that night.

The senior players let him and us down that night, just as they did at Wigan after Lisbon.

How about the previous eight games when we took 6 points?

What a load of cockwobble

He was the Manager FFS

Looking back, the more I think about it, if Coyle could keep us up, Megson definitely could

Bollocks

This was using Coyle's only strength of galvanising a bunch of players ostracised from the Management team

Before they worked out he was a plant pot too

You think the poisonous atmosphere and the players bottle going had nothing to do with it?

Certainly does

And that's the responsibility of Mr Gary Megson

Disagree.I think the main reason we were 19th when Megson was sacked was because he had signed poor midfield players rather than they were good players being mismanaged.Coyle recognised the central midfield wasn't good enough and brought in Wilshire who kept us up.No Wilshire and we'd have gone down under either Megson or Coyle that season probably.

For the £40 million Megson had spent his strongest central midfield pair when he was sacked was Muamba/Mark Davies with shite like Cohen and McCann as back up and the Muamba/Davies pairing wasn't good enough for the Premier League in my opinion.Coyle solved the midfield problem for a year with Wilshire and then Holden  but couldn't replace Holden adequately and was left with the second rate Muamba/Mark Davies combo to struggle with..

Before I read this thread I thought that Megson was a cunt.

The only time we got fantastic results in Muamba's career  were the few months when Holden was carrying the midfield. The moment Holden was maimed the midfield went  back to the pile of shit it was when Megson was sacked.

And lets face it that midfield at Wembley with fantastic Fab at the heart of it was a pile of shit.It was an embarrassment.

Fab played alongside Johan Elmander in that midfield.

That's why we got over-run.

nah

this was a good period for us with good results and probably muamba's best performance

when megson won manager of the month in fact!

Music's back when we score, though.

Small steps.

And how fuckin loud was it at the last match??

nah

Aye, we had the occasional little purple patch under Megson but it never lasted very long. It's a fact that we lost 19 of our 38 league games in all 3 of the seasons Megson was at the club. The season Holden was carrying the team it was 9 defeats in 29 matches and a place in the FA Cup semis at the point Holden got maimed.

Cunt of all cunts

If he hadn't have thrown the Europa league then we would have had a nice little trip to Ibrox before fiorentina before winning the thing in Manchester! FACT!

For that reason he should be burnt at the stake

Fab played alongside Johan Elmander in that midfield.

Exactly!

Add to that our two wingers thinking it was someone elses job to track back and Elmander being totally out of position and we were left with 3 to 4 Stoke players running at our back 4 at will.

What got to me after Coyle was sacked was him citing Fabs collapse as a major reason why we struggled after when he had fallen out with him for the previous 15 months. tosser!

nah

Steinsson  :angry2:  so so so shit
