Are there any music sites that you don't have to pay for to listen to though?

 

Spotify you have to upgrade, got napster but only 30 day trial, any more?

Sonos is cracking stuff, Garrp is a big fan as well I think.

 

I actually use Spotify premium, it's £9.99 a month, but I reckon it's worth it, especially for "off line" listening which I do all the time

So far, I don't think it's possible to listen on demand without either a premium spotify (or similar) or listening to a few ads.

 

Brilliant bit of tech though.....

Get a Walkman, a leather tracksuit and some roller skates instead, et voila, music in every room (man in a green leotard is optional, unless you're Cliff himself - then he's very much necessary, for companionship purposes only of course)

I don't really buy into the one speaker thing. The sound will never compete with a proper amp and speakers. But I guess style over substance is the apple inspired world we live in now.

Been meaning to buy one for a while after messing with my mates Sonos setup, he has a couple of 5's and 3's and a subwoofer. Finally treated myself to the Play 3 and bridge yesterday at John Lewis. Now got the sonos and spotify apps through both an IPad and Galaxy Tab, sound is great, really rich, playlists are good. Spotify premium is 3months for 9.99.

I think that offer finishes at the end of December, though the price combined for the two things is usually similar - i.e they discount the play and you buy the bridge.

I'm after the Sonos play and sub to hook up to my tv.

They had a Sonos expert in JL today, so managed to natter through with him. We don't have any single room in our house big enough to need the Play 5... so reckon the 3 would suffice with a couple of Play 1's scattered about the house.
