February 3, 201412 yr Lever Ender from 64 through til the 'Armfield' season starting with a 3-0 home win against Bournemouth. About 20 of us moved to the Manny Road North beside the tunnel with the main aim of counteracting the moaning cunts for Amazing Jims new reign. Moved across to the Burnden Paddock the year after. Unbelievable fun and games during the mad years in the Lever End - far too many to list although some are still on here who remember them (eh Zulu?). Hull, Brum, Derby, Villa, Leicester, Sheffield United all worth an honourable mention. Hull probably stands out for me personally but they were all mad and not just for a single season either. They always tried to take it but no one ever could. Not too much to recall (other than memorable games and moments in games like Waldrons goal v Chesterfield; Luton Towns Droogs in the Cup etc.) in the Manny Road North apart from that night when Bastard Rovers beat us 1-0 in front of 30 odd thousand. Plenty of dingles sorry they chose that vantage point that night. Burnden Paddock was superb. Loads of great memories including Mackems, Geordies etc. but the one that sticks is Spurs trying to storm up the ramps at the end of an FA Cup replay we won 2-1 aet. Would have been towards the end of the seventies. Paddock lads weren't having it and charged down the ramps. Carnage.

February 3, 201412 yr I started in the Lever end the West Brom and Forest games stick out when the powers that be stupidly put the away fans in half of the lever end it was like trench warfare bricks, slates, bottle lobbed to and fro all game, then onto Burnden Paddock and then onto the Manny road North where numbers were usually few but some rum lads in there, then back to the Burnden paddock upto leaving in 97 where we often stood near the Lever end at that time in that corner were 100s of lads all about 25-35 there are a few photographs about showing that corner where loads of well known faces can be seen. February 3, 201412 yr First ever game stood on Embankment when Kevin Keegan came to town. Then, as a kid, grew up watching us in Manny Rd (south) terrace and then stand with my dad or Manny Rd (north) stand with step-dad. When I was old enough to go on my own it'd always be the top corner of the paddock ... the equivalent of what is now mongo corner. Used to love it in Manny Rd north. Used to sit right at the front, next to the away dug-out. There was one bloke in the terrace just below who seemed to spend the entire 90 minutes trying to wind up the opposition's manager. February 3, 201412 yr Started off in the Lever end when it was the proper Lever end Changed to the Embankment before segregation, it went shit when the away fans got put into a little pen of their own so moved to the burnden terrace so we could chuck things at them in the dark without getting spotted before ending my days in the manny rd north apart from the very last home game when we went back into the embankment

February 3, 201412 yr I was 7 years old at my first game, my brother-in-law and sister lived on Cecilia Street up Weston Street, he took me to my first ever game and we stood on The Great Lever, always loved the feel of the place.

From what i remember at that stage though all the "lads" had moved out of the lever End onto the Embankment and Burnden paddock - wasnt the Lever end then a bit of a family thing?
