Good team player, very adaptable and did the job the manager asked. Scored his share of goals too.

I think he will be decent again, I also think he's playing well within himself and it would not surprise me if that's what his advisors telling him to do in other words don't get injured and we will get you a premier league contract.

 

If he is a shoo-in for SK's World Cup squad (which I think is the case), then he is coasting towards that.

Trying not to risk injury by not getting involved too much.

Stelios was as much a "winger" as Mark Davies is now....or in fact as SKD was when played wide. Not having him as a legend tho, but he did a good job for us in a very good team

Stelios was a clever player he did not have the pace to get to the by line but he would make himself a yard and could deliver a good cross, proof if ever needed you don't have to beat your man to be a good winger/wide player.

He was an integral part of a successful team, certainly not the most skilful but a vital cog nontheless

Suddenly it all makes sense.

 

When I was at college in my second year the football second XI was very short one week, and the cross-country team was drafted in to fill the gaps (caused by the freshmen having a vaccination the same afternoon).

I played on the left. We won 3-0, with all 3 coming from crosses from me (at varying heights!!!) and knocked in by a Geordie centre forward (who had only played in goal throughout his grammar school days).

Although the result took us to the top of the league table I was never picked again.

And there was a guy called Freedman there (but I didn't realise he had anything to do with selection or, indeed, football).

True but he was also better than Taylor who wasn't bad, I'd certainly like him back now.
