May 13, 201412 yr Meh, were are the 18/19 year olds that have had half a good season ??????? I thought Stones only made the provisional list?
May 13, 201412 yr I thought Stones only made the provisional list? The England squad is full of them. If Rossy B, Shaw and Stirling were Spanish they would still in be in the Under 20's. If Gerard Deulofeu was English, he would be in the England squad. Edited May 13, 201412 yr by Pablo
May 13, 201412 yr Meh, were are the 18/19 year olds that have had half a good season ??????? Where as our youngsters essentially retire from the u21s and would rather knock around on the bench of the full squad. I do think we miss a trick not sending our strongest team to u21s
May 13, 201412 yr Where as our youngsters essentially retire from the u21s and would rather knock around on the bench of the full squad. I do think we miss a trick not sending our strongest team to u21s We need to get a tourny winning mentality from 5 - 8 players as a group, in U20's U21's, before we even talk about throwing them in the Senior squad.

I do think we miss a trick not sending our strongest team to u21s I'm 100% with you there They think they've made it and are superstars with little understanding of: Winning mentality How to play through tournaments Togetherness
May 13, 201412 yr I won't be watching them, shit boring football. Is the correct answer. 1190 is the amount of sideways passes per game and, interestingly, their preferred formation.

May 13, 201412 yr Author You can get 7/1 on Spain That IMO is a massive price, the team is littered with world class players, I've no doubt they will be at the business end of the competition I know a European team hasn't won the cup in south America but the stat will go, could it be this year? I can't not back em at that price.
May 13, 201412 yr Durham still had a section on his show asking..... "The Spanish squad..... Is it all that?" I got as far as him questioning if the forward line had any goals in it before I switched off: Costa = injured Villa = not the same player since his injury at. Barca Torres = would he get in the England squad?? Negredo = not scored since Jan and would be uproar if we picked a forward with similar record Llorente = a big lump who Durham doesn't rate

I can't not back em at that price. There's only been 4 WC's in South America. 1930, 1950, 1962 & 1978, none in the globalised era it's an irrelevant stat
May 13, 201412 yr Only one European team has won outside Europe No European team has won on the american continent I think looking beyond a south american winner is very brave, but we shall see
May 13, 201412 yr Only one European team has won outside Europe No European team has won on the american continent I think looking beyond a south american winner is very brave, but we shall see only two from SA could win it if we're being realistic this is a genuine question for someone with better knowledge, have Argentina got a good enough defence? not many of their defenders seem to be at the highest club level? defences win tournaments. can only think of zabeleta and de mechelis at City but the latter has doubts. an interesting article about Brazil by Tim Vickery on the BBC arguing their defence is key not their "flair". better defensive record than anyone at WC's

That is, similar climate and altitude difficulties for European sides. Still records are there to be broken.
May 14, 201412 yr Also Jay Jay don't be using stats that are over 40 years old on here, it's not allowed!
