May 27, 201412 yr I was over the moon when we signed Sordell. Young decent prospect and scored a credible amount of goals and also an England under 21. Only thing you can blame coyle for is not sussing his state of mind before signing him.
May 27, 201412 yr Scotland! The only Champions League qualifying league with no capital city team in the top flight? Teuchtar bastards! Same for Luxembourg (and maybe Turkey?).

Is there any chance Sordell might have a change of mentality a penny dropped moment or is the 3 million written off?

May 27, 201412 yr If (and it's a bloody big if) sordell puts the work in he can still be a very good player. If his head is always going to be in the bin he'll not amount to much.

Sordell will probably already be pining for London before he even arrives back on the training ground. Definitely can be a decent player, probably not for us mind.

Only thing you can blame coyle for is not sussing his state of mind before signing him. Exactly where I'm at. I'm pretty sure I've said it's an attitude defect rather than an ability issue. If (and it's a massive if) his head was right and his heart was in it, he could be that 20-goal striker we need.
May 27, 201412 yr Exactly. It's just the usual suspects being wise after the event. when would you suggest we judge a signing?
May 27, 201412 yr when would you suggest we judge a signing? As soon as they run out for their debut. Booooooooooo! get off, you're fucking shit.
May 27, 201412 yr I was happy when we got sordell but I was happy when we got Robert fleck so I'm best ignored.

Only thing you can blame coyle for is not sussing his state of mind before signing him. I was shot down by some for not thinking it was a signing we didn't need at the time, I never thought it would've been as bad as it turned out mind
May 27, 201412 yr what did piss me off was not playing him And me. Do you think that might have contributed to his desire to go home.
May 28, 201412 yr And me. Do you think that might have contributed to his desire to go home. Or maybe he wasn't up to playing. Watford sold him because they had money problems and ours was the best offer on the table by the transfer deadline. He may not have wanted to go. It was a gamble that didn't pay off for either party.
June 4, 201412 yr Biggest disappointment for me last season was Coyle being sacked before we played Wigan. He would have just enough time to work his magic & their crowd would have been at boiling point.
June 4, 201412 yr On the whole there wasn't a Coyle transfer that I was hesitant about, I could see the rationale for them and he didn't spend much on transfer fees. Granted they weren't exciting and on the whole didn't work but that's easy with hindsight.
June 4, 201412 yr Giving Robbie Blake an extra year after trying to off load him a few months earlier and not playing him takes some beating.
June 4, 201412 yr he relegated us and got us ream n sordell for englands centre back hes a cnut And which fuckin chairman appointed him?
June 4, 201412 yr The only mistake Gartside made with Coyle was not sacking him before it was too late. Every man and his dog wanted him appointed at the time.
June 4, 201412 yr The only mistake Gartside made with Coyle was not sacking him before it was too late. Every man and his dog wanted him appointed at the time. Is the correct answer
