Can we stop this instant negativity to everything BWFC it's embarrassing and tedious bringing every one down and achieves fuck all if that's the default mode your set in give your head a fucking wobbl

  • I'm not convinced about that. He comes across as more deluded than Coyle on occasions.

fair enough

it doesn't mean that we're not still looking for players we can turn a profit on

He didn't want to leave Watford. Watford needed to sell him because they had financial problems. We signed him just before the deadline after all other options had been exhausted. Presumably Coyle thought he could sort out any issues after the deal was done. He couldn't and neither could Dougie.

Apparently this has happened before in the history of football, y'know a manger taking whatever he thinks is the best on offer and then finding out he isn't up to the job.

he didn't even play him

and he spent 3 million on a player whose head was mashed

And also because his agent threatened to let his contract run out if they didn't let him go!

He didn't sign him with the intention of not playing him. £3M is nothing for a striker in the Premier League. It was either that or keeping our money, there were no other options.

Talk us through the Baptiste deal.

Can you not ban this tedious cunt as well Stanley?

Talk us through the Baptiste deal.

baptiste was a free transfer (which admittedly doesn't mean what it used to)

i think he did alright at right back

struggled at left back

freedman thinks mcnaughton is a better full back/club man whatever

tells baptiste he'd no longer be first choice

finds a way to cover mcnaughtons wage by getting shut of baptiste

no great loss on the deal

well done

sordell - 3 million quid at a goal every 7 years, hit with 2.5 million loss

bye bye half the cahill money

not so many similarities there

We spent the entire season in the bottom half of the league and you're congratulating him on a deal 'well done'? Last season wasn't a dress rehearsal for this one. The money we spent on Baptiste's 'eye-watering' wages could have been better spent and that's before we even start talking about the fees we paid for Beckford and Davies. If you're on a tight budget you can't afford to keep shuffling the pack until you get it right.

I'd argue that shuffling the pack until you get it right is exactly what you do when you're on a tight budget.

What the fuck else can you do? Buy proven quality players?

No you fool. You employ this manager who's name only COYW knows, who never makes a mistake in the transfer window and can trick other teams into coming in and paying over the odds for players we don't want anymore.

I'd argue that shuffling the pack until you get it right is exactly what you do when you're on a tight budget.

Not if you start off with a decent budget and end up shopping in the bargain basement.

You keep on mentioning money & finance, without actually mentioning the money? Numbers please.

You appear to be proffering opinion & not backing it up with any facts or figures.

To this end, I'll be popping you in the 'Talks Bollocks*' list, until proven otherwise.

You were the one who just said we were on a tight budget. Jesus wept. Make your mind up!

Spend it wisely. Unless you're one of those that thinks the previous manager is accountable but not this one.

I'd argue that for the money we paid Baptiste, we should have expected someone who was 'proven quality' especially at this level, so either he wasn't, or the manager wasn't capable of getting the best out of him.

Either way, the manager is ultimately accountable.

The money we paid for Baptiste? He was free! we only paid wages! How much do you think proven quality players cost? A fee then top wages on top of that!

Also can you give us examples of these players you wanted us to buy?

We're on a tight budget now. We weren't last season. We're shuffling the pack now because he wasted money on the likes of Beckford, Davies and Baptiste. Time will tell whether he's also wasted money on Hall, Medo, etc, but giving him credit for wheeling and dealing without questioning why he's having to do that, is blinkered to say the least.

Fulham are in this division and have spent £11m on a player. ELEVEN MILLION. POUNDS. That's someone who isn't on a tight budget. Fuck me, what goes on in some people's heads?

.

FFS.

Again!

For what we paid Baptiste!!

How much did we pay Baptiste? If you don't know, just say you don't know.

Anyone would think Dougie had only just taken charge. We had a top six budget last season. The playing field is completely different this season. We're now competing with teams who have massive parachute payments.

With this in mind, is it not now time to move on, enjoy what we can without moaning like fuck about things you've got little or no understanding of?

Is that how your other half feels too?

Top 6 budget loaded with players who weren't good enough on top wages brought in by the past regime who we couldn't get fucking rid of.

Dougie didn't get to decide how the whole budget was spent, his hands were tied for a lot of it.

Brilliant!

You now also have working knowledge of the budgets for the rest of the league too.

All without mentioning

ONE

FOOKIN'

NUMBER!

Just admit you're talking bollocks, then Ssshhhhh.....

Those who are still 'moaning like fuck' about the previous regime don't appear able to move on.

Right - tell me EXACTLY what you want to happen between now and the start of the season. I'm all ears.
