Maybe the opportunity of the prem was too good to turn down. With Ings and Vokes you'd think he'd not be first choice so him and marv will prob spend most of the time on the bench.

 

Good luck to Juke though, nothing but praise for that lad.

 

It's looks like one in one out at the moment so we need to get Andrews/chungy etc sold before we can get another striker. Talk of chungy to Cardiff so maybe get Mason in the deal.

Would have been happy to pay 1m but any more is a risk. If burnley really have paid 2.25m then boro will be laughing all the way to the bank. Am sure dougie will have a list of alternative targets

Although let's be honest, you probably knew sod all about Juke before he came in - like the rest of us.

Very disappointing to miss out on Juke, but if Burnley are willing to pay way over the top & offer premier league football (briefly), there's nothing we can do.

 

All the interest in Juke shows how few decent target men/strikers there are available. I wouldn't want Mason without Juke, & with so little money, we may have to take a gamble on a lower league player , an unknown foreigner or another temporary loan.

 

If we have to start next season with Craig Davies as a first choice striker, i'd say we were going backwards.

im gutted as really wanted him but there are positives.

 

Jukes problem at boro was he never probably got going because of little niggling injuries all the time (like Beckford)

 

we got him and he was completely injury free for the whole duration.

 

if we are spending any trasnfer fee at all we need it on players who don't constantly get these little injuries, We have enough of them already (beckord and mavies)

 

there is a chance we got lucky missing out on him if he starts getting them injuries again

 

the only thing we know for certain is dougie never overpaid for Juke, whatever happens

 

dougie will find us a striker
