Agree it's what these forums are for, a bit of a moan and groan (or a lot in some folks cases) on a Monday morning but to constantly get on a players back from the start of every fucking season really pisses me right off, i can't be arsed with cunts like that.

The criticism has to be constructive and there needs to be a balance to the views/opinions. Just saying x,y or z are shit without offering a valid reason is bullshit.

Sometimes when people make their mind up on a player they are shit no matter what they do which is wrong. Some players who are more well liked get away with being shit as well where the players that have been singled out don't get the same treatment.

There were worse than Pratley on Saturday but he was the first one a lot of people called out for criticism.

'i didn't hear', 'they pay their money so they're entitled to their opinion' is one of the many excuses

nothing will change

well, except for those of us it pisses will stop going

There's a huge difference between having a negatve opinion and openly booing a substitute coming on the field.

Bolton fans fuck me right off, every season they need some poor fucker to have a go at and this season it seems to be Pratley and we're only two league games in, get a fucking grip the lot of you

It's been Pratley for a couple of seasons now, hasn't it? I thought he did enough to probably warrant a start tomorrow. Stick Medo on the bench and have Danns on the right, CYL on the left and Pratley down the middle.

Medo was wank but pratley did nothing when he came on apart from run around. He over hit one through ball and the hacked a guy down with a poorly timed tackle. If your happy for a guy to start based purely in the fact that he runs around then we really are in a bad way.

Pratley was the one who created the space for McNaughton to cross for Davies' chance and at least offered an option for a pass instead of aimless lumps upfield. He also made a cracking run as well that would have put him clean through on goal if we had players around him who were smart enough to spot the pass.

Took 1 for the team when he made that tackle and i for 1 applauded it, they were bursting forward and he took him out on the half way line

I like Pratley but I don't think he meant that to be a foul; he'd made up the ground but his leg went over the ball

Either way the "challenge" as you said, was important. The bloke he replaced would've been jogging back pointing at others to make it, not busting a lung

I think Pratley's under-rated by the majority of Bolton fans.

If (and unfortunately, it's a big if) he was allowed to play the same role as he had at Swansea, we'd see that he has far more talent that he seems to be being given credit for.

He's a worker, too and I like that.

That's the conclusion I've come to with several of our players, Traf, not just Pratley.

Our team seems to be consistently much less than the sum of its parts. Or to put it another way, too may square pegs in round holes.

As for the Forest game, I was pleased we were more positive and aggressive from the start. It made for a much better game than the majority we've seen at the Reebok (as it was then) in the last 3 seasons. Still a lot of problems to sort out, and still not convinced DF is the man to do it. We'll see.
