Moderators Casino Posted September 4, 2014 Moderators Share Posted September 4, 2014 alternatively if hes got a decent smart phone, wifi to the phone and use the phones 3g might be cheaper if i was him i'd get bb
Garrp
alternatively if hes got a decent smart phone, wifi to the phone and use the phones 3g might be cheaper if i was him i'd get bb he's not even got a phone line in his place and a mobile from 10 years ago its a car crash waiting to happen as he's genuinely never been on a computer in his life. he's still using teletext to check his coupon results but i'm confident i can teach him to use livescore.com/futbol24 to check them and give him my login for sky go if he gets bored and doesn't like it he can sell the ipad but don't want him tied into any phone line/bband contracts. Traf
http://www.groupon.co.uk/deals/national-deal/gg-photodirect-44-151/44299714 That's wi-fi only, not 3g I know, because I bought the daughter one from there a month ago. Oh, and it took three weeks to arrive.
Garrp
Reet So he got the ipad and a broadband line. As I said, he's never been on a computer in his life so it's been hard work teaching him how to use it over the phone. Anyway just about got him using youtube and he's like a kid at christmas. The next stage was to get him to download skygo and watch all the sport and movies he wanted with my login. Turns out his bird took the ipad to daughters to take photos of grandchild and whilst there daughters bloke installed something called jailbroke?? So he could 'watch all the 'free sport and films he wanted'. Now when he tries to login to skygo he gets a message saying 'skygo can't be used on a jailbroke device' He struggles with google, never mind this shit. I told him to tell the dickhead to uninstall it and to fuck off being a pikey. The guy says he doesn't know how to get rid, i mean ffs. It's impossible for me to do over the phone when i don't even know what it is, so i have two questions. 1) can this be removed or is his brand new ipad now 'chipped' for life? 2) if it can be removed, can he go into apple, explain what's happened and get them to remove it? Cheers
Traf
No and no. Jailbreaking is like chipping or modding in layman's terms. Can't be reversed and the warranty is now void. Edited November 18, 2014 by Traf

Moderators Carlos Posted November 18, 2014 Moderators Share Posted November 18, 2014 Make sure you've copied off everything you want to keep i.e. photos.
Traf
It might not be too hard to be honest, having thought about it. Back it up to icloud or itunes Reset to factory defaults and then download your saved backup. That should probably do it.
