However, as a bloke on here who's been fucked over, I'd be explaining to a solicitor that I'd been living in the fucking garage for x years while Winston comes and goes as he pleases without putting to the mortgage. September 14, 201411 yr Whitt, speaking from bitter experience I strongly advise you to get a solicitor on board. You'll be surprised how strong your hand is - trust me. Any divorce is shit - but there's levels of shit and a solicitor can help lessen the financial blow.

I stopped doing lots of overtime and that reduced my take home pay so when it went to court my earnings looked lower and that counted towards the settlement. We sold the house to someone I know at a lower than market price, split the profit and I bought it back off him 3 months later and he made a small profit. Get a solicitor NOW
