September 24, 201411 yr Smashing article. The guy comes across focused, driven and like he knows exactly what he's doing. I genuinely like the cut of the bloke, and he appears to be a chairmans dream. His decision making is terrible though. Team selections,in game decision making and constant bizarre tinkering without reason are and more than likely will be his downfall at this club. The guy doesn't deserve abusing,I dread to think some of the stuff he hears coming from the stand,he must be thick skinned that's for sure. Reading between the lines in that article I think it's pretty obvious he's not convinced he's here for the long haul. Shame really, but it's just not working. It could work elsewhere in years to come. I would just rather it be with another club he plies his trade with. What did St Mirren fans say when Alex Ferguson was sacked - and went to Aberdeen for his most successful period?
September 24, 201411 yr "Everybody wants instant success. I’m no different. Everybody would like the short-term quick fix, buy that £10m striker and away we go". I don't think people do expect 'instant success' but they do expect to see some signs of progress. That's the nature of the job. If he wants a position which allows him the luxury of time, perhaps he should go back to coaching the reserve team.
September 24, 201411 yr What did St Mirren fans say when Alex Ferguson was sacked - and went to Aberdeen for his most successful period? Och aye the noo?
September 24, 201411 yr What did St Mirren fans say when Alex Ferguson was sacked - and went to Aberdeen for his most successful period? The same as every team which has had a Manager that went on to do fuck all elsewhere said probably. So what?
September 24, 201411 yr Comes across very well and I have no doubt off the pitch he's doing sterling work but he needs to take his head out the clouds come Saturday the formula he has on first team success v development long term is wrong and if he doesn't realise that PDQ he's out on his arse and the bloke coming in has great foundations around him clearly
September 24, 201411 yr You can easily see why the last two managers were given the job, they can talk the talk. Problem is (especially in df) he cant walk the walk What a shite managerial record he has. He should be managing non league
September 24, 201411 yr The pictures he had taken down were not those of players still at the club. They were Sam's "galacticos", the likes of Okocha, Djorkaeff, Campo, Ngotty, Hierro, Nolan & Speed etc. The players who took us into Europe not once in our history, but twice and twice in three seasons. That, Mr Freedman, is as big an achievement as your beloved Meeelan winning the European Cup. I thought it was Megson who took down JJ, Campo,Djorkaeff, in fact I'm sure it was him.
September 24, 201411 yr Either way, it's nonsensical, when he's supposedly doing that and they're painting murals of Tim Fucking Ream on the walls inside the ground.
September 24, 201411 yr Either way, it's nonsensical, when he's supposedly doing that and they're painting murals of Tim Fucking Ream on the walls inside the ground. Agree.
September 25, 201411 yr We have a three-week plan that doesn’t change whatever the result. It was true then
September 25, 201411 yr Dougies record in last 12 months vs top half teams P 23 W 4 D 6 L 13 F 21 A 35 Wins against 13th place x 2 8th 5th
September 25, 201411 yr Talk is cheap, very cheap..... He's been here long enough to look at his stats on the field. He inherited a squad of premier league players. The rest is history and makes sad reading......
September 25, 201411 yr He inherited a squad of premier league players. hahahha you fcuking loon 01 Bogdan 02 Mears 04 Mills 12 Knight 15 Warnock 07 Eagles Booked 08 Andrews Booked (Pratley - 79' Booked ) 16 M Davies Booked 20 Spearing (Lee - 90' ) 09 Ngog (Afobe - 70' ) 14 K Davies Substitutes 24 Lonergan 05 Ream 18 Ricketts 21 Pratley 27 Lee 17 Afobe 19 Sordell the team at millwall for coyles last game

September 25, 201411 yr ok, lets sign shearer or ali dia, he played a game in the prem the inference was he inherited a squad of players good enough for the prem in reality he inherited players that coyle thought were good enough for the prem and we were playing 60 odd million a year for
September 25, 201411 yr Which of those haven't played in the Prem? Bogdan McNaughton Moxey Mills Wheater Spearing Garvan Danns Lee Mason Beckford arguably 10 of our best 11 have played in the premier league. Are you saying regardless of how shit a manager dougie is, he has built a premier league team on half the wage and budget as our previous managers? or are you just putting a negative spin on everything to do with us as always.

I'm saying nowt. Was just responding to Casino spurting tea through his nose when capitainmed had the temerity to point out that we had some players who had actually played Premiership football. Negative spin? Brilliant. Because that's really needed isn't it?
September 25, 201411 yr ok, lets sign shearer or ali dia, he played a game in the prem the inference was he inherited a squad of players good enough for the prem in reality he inherited players that coyle thought were good enough for the prem and we were playing 60 odd million a year for I'm pretty sure I've seen you say coyle should have kept that team up.
September 25, 201411 yr he should - he had the 12 highest wage bill in the country aye, 12th he had cahill, jussi, reo coker and muamba for chunks of the season of the ones he left, ive seen nowt since they left that suggests they were 'prem players'
September 26, 201411 yr Freedman can say what the fuckerty he wants... His ludicrous comments regarding a team going to Wolves and having four chances or whatever it was....was a all new low point He wants to get a settled team and stick with it...then he might see some progress
