I totally agree on those points. My biggest worry is that with Gartsides track record Felix Magath will be next in!

You never know CHEESE might be his number 2

David Moyes?

Felix The Cat would do a better job than Freedman

Phill Brown I'm telling ya,stop waffling about moyes shearer and fat sam,we won't get brown if he gets out of that league

David Moyes?

If only we could afford him proper manager organises teams and gets his teams playing with passion, an appointment of this quality is the only thing that's going to save us from a lot of heartache and for a long time.

If he does get the sack then it will be JP until the end of the season. Billy Davies, Phil Brown; don't make me fooking laugh

Tony Pulis or Abu Hamza

I'm not fussy anymore.

where do you think we are at now,I think we will be lucky to get brown

Phil Brown?

Stop talking with. Cocks hanging out

If the objective is to appoint someone better than Dougie, there's plenty of choice.

Jimmy Phillips for me

Is rather have Freedman. Jimmy Phillips is a joke. His job as academy boss was under threat not that long ago as questions were being asked of the lack of progress.

Why we'd give him a senior team management role is beyond me!

This comment shows how little you actually know of the workings of the club

When exactly was his job under threat?

.

Actually, just read Jimmy Phillips there too. Bigger .

How about we just get a pin and a Bruce Rioch team sheet?

We'll see

I'm with Blixa and the Rioch teamsheet idea. My money's on a Fabian DeFreitas -Nicky Spooner dream team.

In truth I think they would give Phillips the job with Julian Darby involved. Darby has a lot of experience at this level, but we might struggle to keep him if Wee Billy Davies gets another gig.

Phil Brown? Get to fuck

Billy Davies? Get to fuck, come back and get to fuck again.

How's about we get someone qualified to actually do the job rather than any old loser who just happens to have once played for Bolton?

We've been burned with one of those already.

There are plenty of managers out there who have done something, achieved something as an actual football manager.

Get one of those. Someone with experience. We keep appointing people with little experience into a difficult job. And then wonder why it has gone wrong.

Should have had McCarthy last time in hindsight and we need that sort now. Not someone who has never managed before at a senior level.

I wasn't keen on McCarthy at the time but credit him for job he is doing at Ipswich.

He's been in charge for exactly the same number of games as Dougie...

A sentiment I generally agree with, but where you are wrong is how well JP is thought of within the club.

We are in a catch 22, someone with a track record will likely cost us compo and wages which will take us above allowed losses for FFP and get us hit with a transfer embargo. Who's going to take the job knowing that is the likely scenario?

Steve Clarke or Chris Hughton wouldn't cost us anything in compensation.

But they would cost us in wages and likely want to bring their own people in, both behind the scenes and on the pitch if possible.

I'm not banging the drum for Phillips, I'm saying he's the most likely option at least until the end of the season.
