September 28, 201411 yr Brian McDermott Malky MacKay Chris Hughton Roberto Di Matteo Alex McLeish Tony Mowbray Tony Pulis Phil Brown. Any of the above apart from McLeish.
September 28, 201411 yr McDermott is a decent call for me. We can forget the likes of Hughton or Clarke imo, can't see them wanting to come anywhere near us right now.
September 28, 201411 yr FFS the last thing we need is Sherwood. We need experience. Brian McDermott Malky MacKay Chris Hughton Roberto Di Matteo Alex McLeish Tony Mowbray Tony Pulis Phil Brown These managers have all promoted teams in the last 8(?) years from the championship and are all available for free, apart from PB, who after reading on here would crawl through three miles of broken glass and work for free just to coach our U8s. Any of the above would do me, and I'm fully aware there is some shite there. How do you know they are available for free? They might still be on payroll of old clubs and collecting plenty more than we could pay them. McLeish is at a club now too Can see McDermott as realistic but not too many of the others, obviously hope I am wrong. More realistic options in my view would all be people in league one or two but not sure we'd pay compo, Flitcroft at Bury, Hill at Rochdale, Rowett at Burton are the types I can see wanting to come, though Rowett is rumoured to go to Brum if they were to get rid of Clark
September 28, 201411 yr Chris Hughton for me. Malkay Malkay might be worth a punt, especially as he's now soiled goods, maybe an ideal time to make a move for him?
September 28, 201411 yr Let's not do ourselves a disservice. We're not Real Madrid, but we'd still have no shortage of interest if the Managers job became available. I suspect any of the people on the list above would at least want to talk to us about the position if it became available, with the exception perhae of Di Matteo
September 28, 201411 yr What we want and what we get are two different things. It will be JP It might be with jules. IF dougie actually goes.
September 28, 201411 yr Not feeling the Jimmy Phillips love but tbh I don't care now just want shutAs Gumbo said, it's more of a prediction than a "wish".
September 28, 201411 yr Jimmy Phillips was scribbling into a notepad hidden inside a programme throughout the game yesterday He will take over with David Lee as coach Jules will come back in some capacity too.
September 28, 201411 yr ex player, experience of management, knows allardyce inside out aye, phil brown neil mcdonald if we change but we won't, yet
September 28, 201411 yr Assisted by a bird with big busters? If so, I agree. think they come as a package!
September 28, 201411 yr And when it all goes shit shaped for Phil Brown, we will be scrubbing his name from the Bolton archives too. As they say "you never go back.." Unless you're jose and your club has a billion quid to spend
September 28, 201411 yr My worry is we're in the queue behind Cardiff and Fulham mind u Cardiff look like they want Slade and they can have him Id have gone for Mcleish I wanted him when coyle left but he's now at Genk so I'd go Clarke but reckon he'll take Fulham so McDermott or Mackay I can see something building under Mackay bit of siege mentality we need him he needs us dont fancy jimmy Phillips at all just meh appointment we need experience and someone the players will instantly respect and believe in

September 28, 201411 yr I think Hughton would be best bet, got Newcastle, and Norwich promoted. He didn't get Norwich promoted. He took Birmingham to the play-offs though.
September 28, 201411 yr Hat trick of Scotchers, personally I think Hughton would be best bet, got Newcastle, and Norwich promoted. Did he? I thought Lambert did Norwichs double promotion. Think he'd be a decent pick anyway.
September 28, 201411 yr After all that stuff came out about Mackay no club are gonna touch him with a barge pole so this gives us more of a chance of getting him. He's surely the best candidate that we could realistically attract.
September 28, 201411 yr It must be bad when I'm actually thinking Phil Brown might be a good option. At least it'd calm the vitriol for a while.
September 28, 201411 yr Hows Captain Angry getting in these days Frank? Has he exploded with anger yet?
