Was a scandal some of what went on in them queues. I spent over 12 hours for the Manchesters and was still about number 10 in the queue, got the last pair of size 12 but there was a near riot at opening time, hundreds in that line.

Sold them a few years later and it paid for a New York trip!

Buy to wear but like having ones that are a bit harder to come by so I’m not just wearing the same gazelles etc everyone else in the pub is wearing.

My lad is a collector of Adidas and reckons the colours used for certain cities mean different things.

I reckon it's all just great marketing that changing a shade on the stripes means it's a brand new must-have shoe.

As I'm getting older I'm liking the Adidas originals stuff less and less.

Dull middle aged man trainers most of them and I'm desperate to avoid that point in my life.

May as well buy a regatta fleece and some boot cut wranglers.

I think it's the reverse of emperor's new clothes, I wouldn't be seen dead in new trainers (other than SPZL). Currently wearing a fucked in pair of Bermuda from 2016 which I think are one of the last pairs I bought.

They had a few different pairs of goretex at Cheshire oaks t'other week.

One was a white pair of rivalry low. Being white kind of ruined the point of goretex ones imo.
