Liverpool FC have issued a statement saying 650 fans on the cancelled flights can apply for match ticket refunds, it looks like there in no last gasp reprieve, despite the efforts of that fat Scouse councillor on twitter. The councillor apparantly secured two landing slots two hours before kick off time but there isn't the desire from anyone who could organise planes at such short notice to do so.Liverpool's "official match breaks supplier" Thomas Cook haven't come to the rescue

 

The Everton supporting owner of World Choice Sports naturally blames Kiev airport for the cock up despite the fact  he sold airline tickets before he had got a landing slot for the planes at the airport.WorldChoice Sports had a message up on their website this morning that "WE ARE UNABLE TO ANSWER PHONES AS THERE HAS BEEN A POWER CUT WITHIN THE

OFFICE AREA...."

Elsewhere on twitter,  stormy weather in Munich cancelled a flight from Manchester this morning meaning a handful of Scousers missing their connection and more panic.There have been long  delays to several flights to Kiev today, one left Liverpool airport almost 4 hours late

Just been attacked by 3 lads dressed in black, one took me down and robbed our flag, left my phone and wallet which was lucky, another one of the lads got smacked in the face, seems like they are only after banners. Happened just outside Shevchenko park police no where to be
