I'm not a fan of what I'm about to say because it's used unnecessarily at times. But Oldham is a proper northern club. Good to see them back in the league. Chuffed for 'em.

Shipbuilding IIRC.

We mack'em and you teck'em, I think

Sure that's what my Sunderland ST holding mate told me.

Correct mate. Mackems and tackems. I played for a team down here known as the "Geordie Vets" (actually a mix of geordies, mackems and smoggies working in oil rig construction) and they referred to each other as 'that smoggy bastard', 'tackem twat' and 'mackem wanker' all the time. I was generally just known as 'Bolton' :D

The sea?

Sunderland types used to say to Geordies "We'll mackem (make them) and you tackem (take them)". A reference to the manufacturing industries of Sunderland and the shipping industry of Newcastle.

Do keep us FFS ;)

Birmingham

Not Birmingham

More Wolverhampton, Walsall etc

All to do with coal mining

But no one can agree on the actual area

Aye I’d googled it as I had no idea. It gives you a flavour of why they’ve evolved to punching horses😂

In my experience the smoggies are more trouble. Must be chemical inspired brain damage.

I’ll go with that. Work with a few and it’s a real mixed bag. The more irritating one outweighs the better other 2.

Such a dieing art, great to see.

I didn't watch Luton today but presume they rested a few to keep them fit for the big cup tie next week, so 2-3 a decent result with a 2nd string team.

Aye, the trendy inverted widemon bollocks must be a pain in the arse for the striker because they're having to constantly reset their runs due to the amount of farting about the wingers are doing. Which normally ends up with the wazzocks taking a shot which gets blocked.

Arsenal are a dull team. Very predictable

It's a method plenty use- we did with Dapo- and City have used it to great effect.

Nevertheless, even Pep has acknowledged the need for variation, and brought in a quality left footed winger who plays on the left, and also the big Norwegian to get on the end of crosses. Options!

Defensively arsenal are shocking

could be what lets them down on the title

That's the thing most teams are married to it with no variation. Cut inside everytime. Like the Arse today.

Jimenez looks like he's had a new lease of life.

And Antonee Robinson is the best Left Back in the league

Aye.

Teams have to evolve continually or they get sussed.

Saka is a fine player and will still score goals from the wide right position.

Whether he will be quite as effective during the second half of the season remains to be seen.

Commentary reckoned Liverpool are sniffing.

Perhaps we should put in a bid to get him back 😁

Attacking wise as well

Not got a stand out goal scorer

Saka is their top scorer with 6 which puts him 15th in the PL

Havertz was never going to solve that

Jesus maybe originally but seems injury prone

Ditching Ramsdale for someone no better

Entertaining and mad game. The scousers should had at least 8.

Newcastle are off the cliff. Done and dead. Can't even play to a fraction of the intensity they used to.

I've got no idea how he maintains his happy-go-lucky reputation

He's a right nasty twat when he doesn't get his way
