gonzo Posted December 27, 2023 Posted December 27, 2023 Said it in August this would be Fodens year. Pep did the same with Jack last season, propelled him in to being the main man and starting every game. Like hes given him a free license. Hes better than Gazza. Quote

Even the most fanciful Villa fan wouldn't have thought they'd have a shot at being champions. Probably wouldn't have thought top four and winning a European trophy was on the cards either. Being PL champions almost certainly unrealistic. The rest is very much on the cards. Quote

Wanderlust Posted December 30, 2023 Posted December 30, 2023 Kyogo with a beauty to put Celtic 2 nil up against the Huns. Curled over Butland from outside the box with his left peg - brilliant from the right footed striker. Quote
Wanderlust Posted December 30, 2023 Posted December 30, 2023 Sterling "accidentally" breaks O'Riley's nose with a swinging arm so Celtic currently down to ten whilst they stop the blood and get him a new shirt. Quote
Wanderlust Posted December 30, 2023 Posted December 30, 2023 And now Sterling forearm smashes Bain in the face and gets away with a yellow. Quote
Wanderlust Posted December 30, 2023 Posted December 30, 2023 A retaliatory arm from Johnston on Sima who looks like he's going for the BAFTA. More of a cage fight than an old firm game ATM.... Quote
Wanderlust Posted December 30, 2023 Posted December 30, 2023 Straight red for Balogun who hauls down Maeda with a rugby tackle as he was running through on goal. Quote

City must be happy with the dosh they got for him, and I guess he wouldn't have stood for sitting on the bench any longer so it seems good business all round. Quote

deeane Koontz Posted December 30, 2023 Posted December 30, 2023 Like a breath of fresh air watching Luton. They actually have wingers who get down the touchline and and actually cross it in with their strong foot rather than cutting back all the time. Quote

Wanderlust Posted December 30, 2023 Posted December 30, 2023 Another theory on the Huns thing is... Harland & Wolff (co-founded by German Gustav Wolff) acquired a shipyard in Govan in 1912 and Catholics were "discouraged" from working there. Then, with the onset of WWI, the term was used to describe the Govan-based, Rangers-supporting workers at the part-German owned firm. Quote

Wanderlust Posted December 30, 2023 Posted December 30, 2023 Clear Celtic penalty denied by the tightest of offside decisions. Meanwhile Matt O'Riley gets smacked in his already bust nose by a stray arm. I'd be asking to be subbed Quote
