January 6, 20242 yr One of the most idiotic trends in football especially when a good percentage of the teams haven't got the players to do it. Play to your strengths

Successful tactics in any sport will be copied until something more successful comes along. The four four fucking two style of football is long gone Not sure the formation completely dictates how the ball is played from the back.

January 6, 20242 yr Was flicking around IPTV following the goals today’s. Some cracking away followings in the FA cup today. Almost like the cup is alive again. Maybe away ties is the way to go

Even when we were in the Premier League it seemed every home FA Cup game would draw as many away fans as home (partly because of our lot not turning up, but you get my drift). Cheaper tickets and different grounds.

When Bolton started off doing it it was painful, but I do think we are good at it now. Your always at risk of a big fuckup but if you've got the players to do it then I think it's better than hoofing it. I think teams underestimate how important the DM is in dropping in to take it off the keeper or CBs. Sheehan is so good at that. So nimble and can get away from pressure. Thomasson has started to get better at it , doesn't hold it for as long.

That simple. Just needs to have a bit of balance.
