I'm not a fan of what I'm about to say because it's used unnecessarily at times. But Oldham is a proper northern club. Good to see them back in the league. Chuffed for 'em.

Thought exactly that. A guy on talksport explained it all pretty well and I can see how diffiuclt it was for a jury to criminally convict just him.

All well and good an inquest deciding how someone died, but when you take that to a criminal court the bar is miles higher.

Forget the cover up, were his actions that day a criminal offence?

I’m saying they weren’t. Hugely negligent and made massive mistakes under duress but worthy of criminally convicted for killing folk. Nah.

..and they are still adamant that no Liverpool fan had any part to play in this tragedy? Aye, reet.

Aye, are those who gathered at the gates and pushed in from the back worthy of being criminally convicted?

Or the person who ordered the fences to built?

Or the average football fan across England who’s behaviour caused those fences to be built?

It was all one big disaster waiting to happen and everybody was culpable in some way. Duckenfield fucked it big time, but he wasn’t trained properly and shouldn’t have been in that postion, the blame carries on....

What happened after, the lies and the coverup are a totally different story. The families deserve justice for that.

Can't disagree with any of that.

We all saw footage immediately after of masses of people pushing outside.

Residents telling of pissed up fans using their gardens to have a piss in.

A dark day for football all round.

Have to feel for the families of course, but thankfully the law isn't based purely around emotions.

6,000 to Braga. Fair play to them. Cracking game; 3-3; and what a stadium. Built on a quarry with no seats behind the goals, capacity 30,000, cost over 80 Million Euros. Wikipedia source.

But who paid for it??? 😊

Bloody Charlton have now been bought out buy an Abu Dhabi Business Development group.

Good for them.

We've got FV and I'm perfectly happy with them.

Said he wouldn't manage Barcelona out of respect from his time managing Espanyol so you never know

Mind you Barca never asked the question as far as I'm aware, so hasn't really had to think about it

I hope nuno gets the arsenal job. Dogheads have been too vocal for my liking these last few seasons

Arsenal should go for Allegri rather than someone who's won nowt

Who then go for Pulis.

Emery won a bit before Arsenal

Ive said it for years, it’s not the manager, their defence has been shite for years, so mentally weak all over the park, absolutely no leaders? Emery appointed 3 captains this year. Madness.

Got to be his responsibility for getting a couple of players in of the type you describe though. I suppose it might transpire that he tried and wasn't backed financially.

He spent 72m on Pepe who wasn't a player they really needed in the grand scheme of things

Plus Luiz, Tiernay and another bloke they bought from France and loaned back

He's been backed, maybe not as much as say Man City but he spent over 100m in the summer

Then he can't really have much complaint. Luis always good for a balls up or two for example.

Sounds like a decent coach with managerial limitations.

Seems they seem to be heading in the right direction with some signings but it never seems to work for some reason

They'd been crying out for a decent keeper since Seaman so when they signed Cech, albeit old was still a good keeper but that didn't work

Ozil on his day is as good as anyone though just depends when his day is and if he can be arsed

Summat cant be right behind the scenes

Aye. Maybe they'll go for big Sam until the end of the season! :)

They'd have been far better off getting Cahill for nowt than spunking 8 mill on louise.

TBH so would City, Man u and the rest

Luiz in front of the back four is fine

Luiz in the back four is not fine

I meant as opposed to someone like Ljungberg, Arteta, nuno santo or pochettio

someone like allegri or benetez would be the best bet to sort out their defensive issues - but they need new players, and in midfield as well - they've not had anyone like viera (or silva) for years - far too soft
