L/H White Posted December 2, 2019 Posted December 2, 2019 Simon Jordan was on talk sport yesterday, saying the premier league should fuck sky off and go on their own, bit like the NFL network, where you can watch any game every week for a monthly fee. they'd make a killing and much more than they do with sky, but the stadiums won't be close to filling, so for that reason alone, i dont think they'll ever go for such model thoughts? I think the monthly subscription route is where it’s going to go, think Netflix but for the PL. The thing with the NFL and NBA league passes is we couldn’t do that with Saturday 3pm games being on TV unless they change legislation, either that or no games at 3pm on a Saturday. Quote

We'll end up with all 10 PL games shown live at different KO times. Thursday Night Friday Night Saturday x 4 (11.30, 1.30, 5.30, 7.30) Sunday x 3 (12.00, 2.00, 4.00) Monday Night Quote

Why wouldnt the stadiums be full? What difference does it make if it is on Amazon or Sky? Quote

Realistically 3 games on a Sat, possibly 4 on Sun 12, 2, 4 and 6. So whenever you went to a game, there would never be any other scores to look out for at half time and full time. Never to play at a time when other leagues/teams are playing would genuinely make me not want to get in the Prem. Added to the fact that we probably wouldn't win many and it would cost more, I can see that being the tipping point to stop me going. Quote
