Youri McAnespie Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 Balls to Uncle Fester, Chubby Brown and fat Bob, get him in as manager (Pele) - he'd keep us up and get us up. Quote

gonzo Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 Has it sold out? Not sure pal. He was telling me how good the corporate folk at Bolton are to deal with. Free run on advertising etc. They were up in Glasgow last night and they made it a nightmare to host. I had another Mate that ran the fox kids cup years ago at Bolton. They hired the entire ground out to him for about 3p. Other clubs wanted silly figures. Quote
Biggish Dave Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 Belting night with the main man, decent grub and good comedian. Place sold out too. I told Pele he was the best manager we nearly had. His English wasn't the best so not sure he'd have got through to greedy Reidy Quote

DIPS Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 Was interested at going (when else are we going to see Pele in Bolton?!) but the prices were astronomical. Glad it was a success though. Quote
Biggish Dave Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 Agreed, it was expensive but can't imagine him coming over here again to do any more dinners. Treated myself to a boot signed by Pele too - only £299 haha. Some top money paid on some auction stuff too. I think the signed Pele and Maradona shirts went for something like £3k Quote
