The whole reason the case was thrown out was because there wasn't any evidence!

No hard evidence admittedly, but I've followed this trial all along and so many things have been said and other facts, that it's hard not to believe his guilt.

What's more likely? Man who's just entered a marriage he's not happy with asks random taxi driver if he knows anybody who would be happy to murder his wife for money. Taxi driver doesn't immediately inform wife/police and does coincidentally know two assassins and manages to sort it out within a couple of days. Assassins are then caught and implicate this guy (as part of a plea bargain).
