What in the fucking name of God is going on????

Every cunting thoroughfare from Bolton to Horwich is like a scene from a disaster movie.

I assume this is down to councillor Cliff the fat, shitkicking twatlord.

I'm going to put a really angry post on the councils Facebook wall, you just see if I dont.

Do it.  There's enough people kicking off on Facebook.  I'm sure you'll get loads of others jumping on your stationary wagon.

Every fucker wants to live here so we need more roads :)

In all seriousness it might sound like a 1st world problem but should we really be getting stressed about how to get from A to B?

These trains had better be fucking fast when the lines are sorted!

Vote the fuckers out.

I'm not saying any of the other parties are better but ffs we've got give them a go, can't do any worse?

Too many cllrs in it for the money and not the community.

I am one of Morris'' fiercest critics but the current road mess round these parts is mainly down to the railway bridges being closed. One end of Dirtrod to the other took someone I know 90 minutes today. Utter madness. I really don't understand why they are doing them all at the same time.

Are there any railway type folk on here with half a brain who know?

True but don't let that stop us hanging the fat cunt. A666 roadworks, new student accommodation on Cheadle Sq.

Aggy is a fucking nightmare at the moment, Dirtrod and Htown aren't much better either. When does Station Road open again at the bottom of Tanners? Roads will be much better then.

Good luck

Fuck.

Bury has been a nightmare past few weeks especially towards Rochdale.

Retaining wall works at ashy valley have the traffic queued back into the town centre past tesco.

Radcliffe is a mess thanks to united utilities.

M60 works are a shite

is the road up to pilsworth shut again?

the road to the 66 through bury centre cleared for a couple of days

now its fooked again

I think it's still down as shut.

Not been that warbor a while though.

it definitely reopened and not just at chrsitmas when tbh would have been the best time for it to be shut!

if it aint shut, we're officially fooked :)

obvs, our traffic jams arent real traffic jams and horwich get much bigger and betterer ones

I drove from Pilsworth to Manchester Road last Thursday afternoon.

There are road works and a 3-way light system there, but the road is/was open, if that's any help.

I park at the bottom end of Alexandra Rd, the last left before Beehive Roundabout. Going home I turn right towards the bakery, a road that's been a mess for a few years now.

Turned up Saturday and they were relaying the surface. (That's Saturday, three days ago!)

Went along last night and some cock ends had dug a trench across the brand new surface failing to put right the levels of tarmac.

Are there no rules in place where the utility companies are told which roads are being done so if they want to dig trenches then do it prior to the resurfacing?

If you don't, you won't be allowed to dig for 12 months.

tis, thanks

probably putting folk off using that route

least it explains why its gone daft again on my road

M6 shut last night.

Junction at singleton lights/fleetwood road shut last night.

Amounderness way in Thornton shut last night.

That's the whole main artery into Cleveleys and Fleetwood shut. All at the same time.

Wonderful planning.

As we come to the end of a financial year and the councils still have money left in their pots, they have to justify why they needed it in the first place so they go on a spending spree to blow whatever they have left in their budgets and that's why you see a shit loads of working being done in the parks and on the roads etc

Spending to budgets is all wrong. End of.

Sorry, I wasn't entirely clear, though.

Pilsworth Road (if that's what it's called) is etirely free of problems from the 66 to Mcr road.

It's the junction with Mcr Rd where the works are, where that pub used to be many moons ago.

There are yes, but for example , if a water main is leaking or gas main leaking then it needs to be done, but the carriageway needs to be returned to it's original condition , obviously this needs more time so temp trenches are filled in so the road can at least be re opened after the initial repair , the re surface should then be completely re done. Bolton council are actually quite good at chasing this to be fair . Don't know if that's what's happened at your location , just an example

Chorley Old Road, the bottom bit that's a bit ghettoish. Blow me, I've been on roads in a better state in the 3rd world. Bolton Council need to get some Tarmac down there.
